It’s so beautiful! You should write a journal about memories you have of your blocks.
Gorgeous. Thank you. I saw a photo from a woman I met today who finished her Dear Jane quilt. 4” blocks. Absolutely beautiful. It took her 4 years to make. Machine pieced.
What an accomplishment!!! Congratulations!
Started my Baby Jane in 1998. Set it aside for many years and now finishing the hand quilting. It won't win any prizes, but finished is better than perfect!
Wow, I love your story about this quilt. A Dear Jane quilt has floated through around me since being part of the quilting community but have never really researched. Thanks for the history lesson….. and I’m so glad you finished it with us.
You quilt is fabulous with all the stories to go with your work. I have the book. I need a plan. I also have our wedding quilt. We got married in 1998. It took my mom 20 years off and on to hand quilt it. Thank you for sharing your story and all the information!
What a beautiful accomplishment!! I’ve seen, in person, the Jane Stickle quilt in Vermont. It is truly spectacular!! TFS!
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful. Tyf sharing your experiences when you were making your "Dear Jane Quilt". I love the motto: "Finished is better than perfect"!!! You finished it and you must be extremely satisfied and proud of this major accomplishment. May God continue to bless you in all that you do.
Now I have inspiration to continue on with my Dear Jane! Thanks!
I loved your Dear Jane story! I was leaving in Dubai in 2002 and had everything to start my Dear Jane with my British friend but we had to move AGAIN and last year I bought this whole set. You’ve inspired me to try again! I laugh so hard about your Mom and the vacuum cleaner but little went cold think that your beautiful quilt was pretty damaged! You are awesome and I’ve learned so much about my Bernina with you then my own dealer. Thank you
6you have the best stories!
Wow, such a beauty. Those blocks have some extremely tiny pieces. I give tons of credit to those who work on these Dear Jane blocks.
Congratulations! And thanks for posting this video on the Dear Jane quilt. My goal this year is to finish my UFOs, but I have to confess I watched your video while knitting a brand new project. Thanks for all the helpful videos you make, from a Missouri fan who used to live in Naperville, and wishes you were in the area at that time!
Your DJ is awesome! Like Brenda’s motto: finished is better than perfect. Years ago I made my baby-Jane, with my 100 favorite blocks in a larger size. Maybe, I make the original DJ one day ( read years 😁). With the software from Electric quilt is it so nice to make the patterns. Thanks for sharing your story, and be proud of your DJ!!
I remember back at Quilters Courtyard that you showed me some blocks you made for this quilt. I don’t think you were just learning as you were teaching me!!! I remember how impressed I was and got the book myself. I am doing it in wool now. I have a lot of the fabrics in your quilt still in my stash.
I’m going to quilt as I go I think. My daughter who quits introduced me to Dear Jane. We are taking this journey together ❤ Just getting fabric selections and hope to get EQ8/w dear Jane
Congratulations on your accomplishment……..it’s beautiful - both visually and sentimentally.
I have all the Dear Jane blocks made I just have to put it altogether. Mmmmm
Congratulations on completing your quilt!!
I love the memories your quilt story!!
I enjoy your videos!! I hope to get to your store!
Thank you for sharing your quilt story. I'm new to quilting and I enjoyed watching you do the quilting with the rulers.
That’s so cool. Thanks for sharing. I want to make a quilt like this someday. English paper piecing scares me. But this is something to think about. 🥰
Thank you for this video! I’m working on Dear Jane since 2017. We have a work group that meets the first Thursday of the month and we have gone to Shipshiwana for the retreats. So very FUN. My book is filled with notes on who was at the group and thoughts on the block I worked on. It is definitely a journey. Yours is beautiful 😍
Wow it may not be perfect but what a lot of different blocks so cool
Every quilt has a story.
Would love to see how you set up your machine for ruler work
