i was watching a video about jordan peterson:

and a transgender person was talking about how some one made a comment toward her. the comment was something along the lines of how her (his, a transgender male) body could not have a baby. it got me to thinking about stan/loretta, a character from the monty pythons life of brian.

But they ignore the fact that a lot of the female parts in Monty python movies/ tv episodes were played by Monty python themselves in drag. People don't mention that one of Python was gay as well. 20 years ago when Python reunited they took a picture in drag with the transexual comedian Eddie Izzard.
The best part is that IIRC it isn't even really that transphobic, the other characters find the trans person's conviction a bit weird but end up accepting it and that is possibly the less mocked action or belief of the Judea Liberation Front
Yes this is satire, but not just stupid mocking. They are actually making a far larger point in the skit. First of they are not mocking LGBTwhatevers. They are pointing out the inherent ridiculousness of inserting these agendas into political movements. They were mocking the forceful politicizing of social issues. Today people don't realize how stupid it is to politicize peoples sexuality and use sexuality as political ammo for other agenda unrelated.
Essentially they are saying sexual identity forced into politics is fake and not going to work.

✨ I don’t experience gender. I’m commenting in good faith in an effort to actually talk about things. I’m curious about how people get to these philosophical islands about XYZ Topic where they can’t tolerate anything new. Everything I’m asking is rhetorical, or you can answer 🤷🏼
“Regardless of his struggle with reality,” is clearly intended to be a gotcha, or a joke, but Stan/Loretta didn’t…really…get…got. It’s pretty sad and pitiful on the part of the other 3 (and the intended watcher who thinks they made a joke and/or some sly cultural/social commentary) that they can’t ask their friend further about those feelings instead of mocking them. Stan can still have kids and be Loretta; Stan/Loretta just can’t host them. Sucks for them, but so what? It doesn’t actually matter to anybody’s life but Stan/Loretta and their family.
Why is it scary or mind breaking for somebody to want to switch gender teams, or to play for both, or neither team (barring the emotional “They’re all The Predator” theory)? That “Who tf am I??” internal struggle is still there regardless of anybody’s opinions of how it will or won’t work.
It’s there for millions of people who aren’t trans. I think a lot of people who are mad about the concept of trans people are secretly quite jealous that _they_ got to find the nerve/courage/secret sauce/just plain end of their rope tiredness that enabled them to make mental and/or physical changes.
It doesn’t even have to be about switching genders. Why is it traumatic for some folks to watch another person merely _ponder aloud_ about doing something their gender “isn’t supposed to do?” Is your gender the only way you can identity yourself? Are you your gender, or are you more than that?
Speaking to the either/or, how do you know that you’re a man or woman? Are you happy with their popular definitions? What changes do you want added, and/or do you have your own definitions?
A lot of people’s answers would be “I dunno, I just…know.” Or “Mom n dad told me, and the hospital told them, and I agree with them I reckon…”

So you've come to the conclusion that people are simply jealous of those exploring a falsehood, due to the delusion you came up with, suggesting that T folk have a certain courage and bravery to explore said falsehoods? What?
And this who mad comment, I can't stand it when people under play and degrade why T folks receive push back, No one hates them... Get that through your hate. i think the idea is that the group are idiots, yet one of them sees the practical aspect of it which is, a man cannot physically have a baby. you said that they were respectful, they went along with him because of his feelings, which went against fact. the only thing they could agree on was the "right" to have babies, which he cant. i have no issue with any man that wants the "right" to have a baby, as long as he doesnt steal it from someone else. the idea that he has the "right" to have babies is stupid and pointless. it helps his feelings, doesnt change the fact that he cannot phyiscally have babies. that is what social justice warriors are about, feelings and not facts!

I think we tend to think of it in terms of male to female transition and forget that it goes the other way too.
