I just love her! I found her through watching her duet with Queen. Her face so kind...and beautiful! I discovered Montserrat Caballe the year she passed away...and now I can enjoy her incredible voice on RUclips!

Agreed. Sadly, this is the difference between the voices and careers of Callas and Caballé. Callas performed at a love deficit. Caballé performed with a cup overflowing. All the more beautiful the reverence both had for the other. Especially Montserrat towards María.

She does, but she is starting to look more and more like her mother the older she gets. She too is a beautiful woman.
When Callas was young, she was very heavy.

Linda Montserrat!

This family seems so happy and fulfilled. I also love how her parents took care of their grandchildren when they were away. I’m sure Montserrat was happy knowing that they were well cared for even though it must have hurt being away from them so long at times. I like the way some families build a large compound where the extended family can live too. I’m sure Carlos’s wife helped as he & his wife and children lived there too. Nice that these siblings and cousins could play and be happy together. Bernarbi Jr. is extremely good looking & Monsita is beautiful as well!

I don't think Caballe's daughter will become a leading soprano like her mother was simply because the shadow cast buy Montserrat that her daughter stands in is to huge to contemplate (no pun intended). I love Montserrat Caballe she is my favorite soprano minus 1

Monsita is a beautiful girl and a very nice lady, which would be expected coming from this family. She is a good singer, but just doesn’t have the gift her mother had. Nobody does! I like Montsy Caballe’ Claus. She was always there for her tia and a wonderful secretary for her.

What a pity that ¨Caballé mafia´ had harmed so many singers and careers... They controlled the European opera world for 20 years and a whole generation of singers had witness how dangerous they were...
    Caballe´s voice was great but...

Glitterbomb45 I think they are referring to Montserrat's brother, Carlos, who was big behind the scenes as a manager.

@@debbiejohnson2789 Hi Debbie. I don´t joke. I am almost 60 years old and spent all my life as opera singers´ manager, producer, ecc... Everybody (I mean EVERYBODY) in the opera business knew about the ¨Mafia Caballé¨, as it was internationally known for decades (even more, in Europe). Carlos Caballé destroyed a lot of careers, manipulated others, depending of his yearly mistress and interests. I saw international opera singers, very well known after singing at Covent Garden or Barcelona´s Liceo, crying (I mean CRYING) when they realized that Caballé had shut down their careers forever. And mean FOREVER.

Montsita got her gigs only because of her mother. She remains a mediocre singer. Terrible, in fact.
