Thank you for sharing such a beautiful orchids, you inspired me to love all the orchids you have and very informative videos, I watched on of your video how to drill holes in the pot, followed your instructions what a big success for me. Thanks 🙏 love to you and yours orchids, from Mookie
Thank you for sharing what's in flower in your summer. Do want to mention that I had a heck of a time hearing you. Not sure the mike is working properly. And before anyone jumps on me about my computer volume level, both the computer and speaker are up as high as they will go, and still had an issue. Thanks though! That Promeneae is just lovely!
Wow! Beautiful orchid blooms! I am sure they fill up your home with their fragrance a galore! Would love to hear your secret for making and keeping them happy to produce bloom in abundance.
So many beautiful flowers 😊But your talk about the Epidendrum radicans 😢... as an indoor grower I killed already several of them. I really envy everybody how grows them successfully inside. Many regards!
I have a Colmanara Masai Red 'Splash' that I found at a grocery store. I did notice a mild fragrance that just said "orchid" to me. I'm in the US and bought it at the beginning of October. The new growth is already massive. I hope it'll bloom as soon as the growth matures instead of only blooming once a year. I can't keep up with the name changes. They changed potinara to something much longer. But, the orchid nurseries I've bought them from both still use potinara
I did not know the Black Cat was fragrant. I now impatiently look forward to mine recovering from its inexplicable near-death experience. I got mine solely for the name, because we had just adopted a pair of black kittens.
Thank you for your videos. I have learned so much from your "amateur" advice. You are certainly more expert than I am! I used to keep my orchids in terracotta pots but had trouble with repotting because the roots would stick to the pots. Do you have that problem? I really love the look and I think terracotta would help with the humidity around the orchid.
Thanks for watching! It depends on the orchid - some have vigorous 'sticky' roots - some don't. The only way really is to soak the whole pot for a few hours in room temp water to soften both the roots and terracotta. I made a video about it here: ruclips.net/video/56YAjjwLIRc/видео.html
Thanks for watching! Depends on the Dendrobium - some like a complete dry rest in winter, others just less water and some need to be watered all year. But whenever the weather cools down and the days shorten is time to start easing up.
Hi Mathew, great video. Do you remember the yellow patheopedium you showed some time back, if so can you share the name as I can't find the video. I was very taken with the fact it was sequest. Bloomer. Thanks Mathew.
Great video! Congrats. Got my hands on a strange fish last week: epi cattleya Veitchii; check it out as one parent is your one featured . I had only ever heard of Rene Marques so was stoked to find this one

Oh no! I also grew it indoors at one point - right against a window - lots of light - keep it on the dry side.

Good luck with it! Flowering will depend upon when the new growths mature so you never know!
Wow! How many orchids do you usually have blooming at one time? Your entire growing space must be amazing!❤😮
There's always something!
@@helloplantlovers Lucky you, Matthew! Thank you for bringing us along.👍🤗🪴❤️
How often do you give your plants tonic?
Depends on the season - I try to give a liquid fertiliser or tonic every other watering in the the growing season.
Gor_ge-ous. Love Love 💕
Thanks for watching!
Thank-you. Just bought a victoria reginae after looking for it a long time. But it's small.
Well mine grew fast and bloomed after the first year so good luck!

Beautiful plants. Could the phalaenopsis be the sogo yukidan?
Who knows!
Love macrame too...... hoping for blooms from my dendrobium. When to go slow with watering???

Thank you very much.
19:12 I wonder if the phalaenopsis hybrids get the many flowers gene from the schilleriana species.
Who knows?!

Oh wow! That would be perfect for my conditions with those parents!! Thanks for the tip - I'll have to see if its here!
Do the epis like a lot of sun? Mine are in semi shade. Doing well tho.
They can take full sun but part shade doesn’t seem to be a problem either! Adaptable!
Wonderful collection. Thx to you I'm growing Den. victoria regina. Take yourself out of the "amateur" category!🙄
Good luck with it!
