I saw him this tour and he was absolutely amazing, some of these shows had the best performances he's had in the 21st century. He might've gotten carried away because from this point forward it all went downhill

@@Dreamwar19 yeah, I too prefer KM over anything JR has done. IMO the band got a lot worse when he joined (minus Metropolis II). KM had a much much better musical sensibility. JR just mostly wanks away. It's technical but doesn't serve the song

And then after 2014 he tanked. It was so sad cuz this was the best he had sounded since the 90s here.

I think he had something to prove when Portoy left and pushed himself. He sounded so good during this era.
They could just lower the pitch/key everyband often do it to save the vocalist voice, especially if you have tour schedule around the world
