Its incredible how well great singers can take care of their voices. I got to see Sinatra on his last tour in '94 and his voice was still as good as "Sinatra at the Sands" from '69, although he forgot many lyrics.

@@ronaldcatullus I disagree. He's doing long tours, leaping around while also singing - he has amazing stamina considering all this and still having to hit the high notes. Of course all voices change over the years, but he still has a great tone. Great musicians, always young. Thank you for this inspired music. And I'm happy that their long-standing project "Annette" has come to fruition; thanks to Leos Carax also for this. France loves you!
They sound so much better than I feared they would, thank you for posting this. I've loved Sparks! since the 70s, such a fun band. I was smiling the whole time watching this.
Russell Maël, 74 ans cette année et sa voix est pratiquement intacte !! Et ce bon vieux Ron, il a peut-être toujours paru vieux mais il a encore la même pêche ! Il mérite franchement un monument !
Russell Mael is the best vocalist in pop, and Ronald Mael the best composer. Together there is a gripping dynamic, that is so irresistible, especially backed up with a band who are respectful fans. Sparks are incomparable, and excite beyond belief.
It's not a pop, but something special. I've started listening them from Propaganda album of 1974. That time it was an original hard rock. Then it turned into some fusion of various styles, but always with brilliant harmony and perfect arrangements.
Thank you for posting this. I saw Sparks in March when they kicked off their tour in San Francisco. Best show ever! Watching helped me relive those moments. Just waiting for them to circle back as they will be in Pasadena soon! I have such a crush on Ron!!

People go on about how Jagger is one of the all-time great front men, but frankly I'd give that title to Russell every single time.
Jagger is a cheap copy of the Great Mr. James Brown. Russell is a far better front man ✌️
