Not really in my opinion they try to make you feel bad for Jeffy so you think everything he do is reasonable which that not how it work it just make him a bad character
the end is so funny, he gets his wife another bunny and when Jeffy tried to make another cake, Marvin told rose to hold the bunny and got infront of her and protected her and the wild bunny. it was a small detail but its so cute to see how Marvin cares so much for rose
