Just some food for thought: If you look at a map of where Trump got the highest concentration of voters, *and* you look at maps showing average educational attainment, how many different news sources people tend to read, average income, typical religiosity, and the percent of citizens who own passports (and therefore are most likely to have seen something of the world outside of the US), you will notice very strong correlations. The obvious inference is that the better educated, better-informed, richer, less-superstitious, more well-traveled the citizen, the LESS likely they were to vote for Trump. The more ignorant, worse-informed, poorer, more superstitious, and less-traveled, the MORE likely they were to vote for Trump. As Trump himself said: "I love the poorly-educated". And this election, it looks like he managed to sucker them all.

The difference is that Peter Dutton is a member of the Parliament and within his Party is first amongst equals. And apart from this, he's no political Frank Sinatra the way Trump uniquely is.
Dutton's instincts are mostly very good and there's no reason to think that he won't be any less heartened by Trump's win than the rest of us.

Just some food for thought: If you look at a map of where Trump got the highest concentration of voters, *and* you look at maps showing average educational attainment, how many different news sources people tend to read, average income, typical religiosity, and the percent of citizens who own passports (and therefore are most likely to have seen something of the world outside of the US), you will notice very strong correlations.
The obvious inference is that the better educated, better-informed, richer, less-superstitious, more well-traveled the citizen, the LESS likely they were to vote for Trump.
The more ignorant, worse-informed, poorer, more superstitious, and less-traveled, the MORE likely they were to vote for Trump.
As Trump himself said: "I love the poorly-educated". And this election, it looks like he managed to sucker them all.
