AIFF Elect New President Kalyan Chaubey Amid Allegations of Political Influence | The Quint

BJP leader from Kolkata Kalyan Chaubey was elected as the new AIFF President after a 33-1 victory over Bhaichung Bhutia. However, there have been allegations of political involvement which is against the FIFA charter. In fact 'third party involvement' was the very reason the AIFF was suspended in August.

I hope AIFF and FSDL will develop football all over India not leaving any corner of India in all the states and union territories of India including even the Islands Lakshadeep and Andaman and Nicobar by developing football players both boys and girls from all over India not leaving any corner of India from all the states and union territories of India including even the Islands Lakshadeep and Andaman and Nicobar right from the young age of U5 till the senior level right from the golden baby leagues and ISL children's leagues followed by youth leagues then the elite level leagues and then the senior level leagues and these leagues should be organized all over the year across all over India not leaving any corner of India in all the states and union territories of India including even the Islands Lakshadeep and Andaman and Nicobar a system like this will surely develop Indian football and India can have great future in footballing world in years to come.

Explain the meaning of an icon. Kalyan Chaubey was in Indian football of course but you really need to be detached from reality to think he even comes close to Baichung's legacy.
