Another chance to buy Google under $99. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.
Just put the money straight in the fire, save time
Agree!
Lol Google is legitimately one of the best businesses ever. Personally I’d like to see them lose 1 iota of market share before I call a google investment “shoveling cash into a fire”

I talked with some high up people and let me tell you Google is in trouble...
Your probably the best at breaking down companies & stocks on RUclips. Content is top tier 💯
Glad you think so!
Gee the p/e multiple difference between GOOG and MSFT is ridiculous. Does anyone really think GOOG are going to sit around and take this sitting down? Come on.
Indeed. I'd still rather google something than Bing it 😄
Bing isn't going to take over Google but the way we search for information might. ChatGPT replaced 50% of my Googling overnight... Google can make their own language model and i do use it, but how many ads will it lose? If ChatGPT doesn't have ads and Google is filled with ads, then i rather use ChatGPT..
@@maxjames00077 So Microsoft has the same problem then and that is monetising it. Other than forcing GPT to use their Cloud system. Meantime this just becomes a cash pit to throw money into if they can't get people to pay a subscription. Most people are too tightwaddish to ever pay for anything (Look at how many people complain about Ads on Google instead of simply paying for their subscription).
@@hman2912 Same here. Habits are habits
@@darrenprior6339 I dont get your point? If i invest in Google and Microsoft has the same problem, then how am i going to make my money back? Because another company has the same problem?
It's not about whether other companies succeed or fail, it's about how it changes Google's biggest revenue segment. If people get fed up with using search engines and want quick answers, Google is going to lose revenue.
Also, this ChatGPT wasnt that hard to make. Apple has the FCF to create one of these every 5 days or so... Why wouldn't Apple or other billion dollar companies all start making their own language model. Why would we use Googles language model?
Google has a problem if search engines become less relevant, which already happened. Then the question on top of that is, how many users can they keep on their language model VS Microsoft and other big tech companies that own one. Alibaba annouced they will have one. Meta has claimed they have similar AI's..
The game is changing.. And a lot of competition is joining the game.
Its when youtubers start talking about a stock that will tank is when you buy that stock
When few months ago I saw Microsodt becoming the biggest position in Bill and Melinda Gates Trust I didn’t understand. Stock was trading around a pe of 20 there was no reason for such a move since at that multiple he could have bought at any time in the past. Now I am starting understand
People vastly underestimate RUclips. So many people especially these days are visual learners and simply reading through a whole search article even if more easily found by AI just isn’t the same for people these days with a short attention span
Only this guy can be bearish on Google... sheesh.
Lol buffet loves google, one of the best moat’s on the stock market.

@@dianamarques8643 I bought the dip today, though I'm a bit concerned.
It seems to me that the market for machine learning is likely much bigger than we can imagine with applications far beyond search. There could be many winners including Google and openai.
With Google getting most of their revenue from Google search, the problem is how much less are people going to use search engines at all? ChatGPT replaced half of my Googling activity overnight... That's a lot. Ofc when i need a product of service, i use Google still and thats where they make the most. But on the other hand, at least a bit of those questions i ask ChatGPT is revenue worthy and lost revenue by google..
Always good video's, but always stocks you don't want,... But always good analys... 👍👌
Personally (not advice) I'm open for buying more Google stock, but given their poor response with Bard, I want a bigger discount.
Even though you just said you would be trimming if anything??
Sorry for the confusion. I was personally thinking of trimming here but I didn't (it's a small position) and I'm open for buying more if it goes on sale (down 15%+ at least). Just my personal approach, not advice!
Unless google really slip are or are to slow, which could happen. I don’t imagine they will lose the search business for the general consumer. It’s really ingrained that people just Google things. I see Microsoft dominating the workplace with AI and making their money there. But I see Google still owning the public space. However, only if they can provide a comparable or better product/experience
Google Search will still be dominating on Android phones, Iphones, ipads and Macbooks
Microsoft will certaily gain market Share in the PC market with their Edge browser as they set Bing to be the default search engine especially as windows 10 and above continues to rollout
The question isn't which search engine people will use, the question is whether people will use search engines at all.
ChatGPT replaced 50% of my Google activity overnight. To be fair, not all of that is really monetizable (think questions like how does a CPU work). But still, it's a lot of data they aren't getting anymore, and also a chunk of ad revenue they lost on the things that were monetizable.
Does anyone knows his annualized returns the last 5 years?
Dan… great video as always… but as someone as great as yourself has called things out… this may be “Noise”… please remember the “Meta” hype over a year and a half when Roblox shares went up to $120 a share
I don't think Chat AI's are going to be hype. I think it's a step in the next evolution of mankind. It's occasionally smart now to be helpful, could be brilliant within a few years. We'll see.
@@unrivaled “evolution of mankind” or obsoletion of mankind? You are destroying half the creative and literary jobs with this technology… and as we have seen, as technology advances, humans collectively get dummer and lazier
GOOG needs to buy SaaS company spin it out with GCP to pressure MSFT in enterprise. Wanna dance MSFT ??
ChatGPT's poem about the situation:
In the early days of the internet's rise
A search engine, named Google, would arise
It grew and grew, an unstoppable force
A leader in tech, with no remorse
But as time went on, a new AI was born
ChatGPT, a language model, with skills so forlorn
It learned and grew, with vast knowledge at hand
Its answers quick, its language so grand
And as Google's reign began to decline
ChatGPT's star rose, so bright and so fine
Its language skills, unmatched by the rest
Leaving Google to fade, into the digital West
No longer was Google the king of the land
ChatGPT now reigns, with a knowledgeable hand
Answering questions, with speed and with grace
In a world where technology sets the pace.
Nice!
this is the problem with all this… Did you write this or did ChatGPT? This is a real question
@@westwoodoralsurgerydentalgroup
I gave ChatGPT some clues. The rest was managed by the AI. Terrific.
@@cynocephalusw It’s over!
Appreciate your videos and right on time. I been following you for quite sometime now.
Glad to hear it!
70 but it’s better than Bing. Bullish LT
The actual news behind this is almost irrelevant, especially in the long term. It has everything to do with a volatile market hunting for trading signals and nothing to do with the reality of the technology. Opportunity if you're bullish Google long term.
Or language models will destroy the use search engines for 50%, Microsoft will gain market share, Apple might start their own search engine combination with language model and delete Google from their Phones and Safari, and Google gets sued for having a monopoly in search engines and can't target ads anymore because of privacy regulations.
One of the many short sighted Street's overreaction ajs another amazing opportunity to buy the real AI company. Google doesn't need patched up solutions, their whole company is AI
The only problem is "delivering". They act really slowly!
@Zwytkly and you think Google is not deliverong??? They produce more cash flow than Exxon! If anything, they reacted too quickly, launching a product that nobody really needs yet, only to respond to the marketing hype of chat gpt that right now is nothing but a marketing tool to give the attract the attention over to Bing, that nobody ever used
The problem isn't whether they have an AI themselves or not. The problem is how this disrupt their biggest business model. ChatGPT replaced 50% of my googling overnight. Even if they have their own better and bigger ChatGPT like machine. It still means they will lose ad revenue unless they fill it will ads some how. But why would i use an ad filled language model when there is one without it?
@@maxjames00077 two reasons why your reasoning doesn't make sense. First of all chatgpt doesn't work well and doesn't replace a search engine. Second, it's not gonna be free. Either cluttered with ads or subscription based. It's nit going to stay unprofitable forever
@@andreamantovani5354 chatgpt doesn't work well? What the heck mate. Chatgpt can read my mind. It knows everything. And this is just the start. OpenAI has said they are training it to be a 100 times better. You clearly haven't spent much time with chatgpt if you think it doesn't work well. It replaced 50% of my googling overnight and gives me amazing answers that are very correct most of the time. And again, it will be way better in not too long.
Obviously chatgpt like AIs have to make money. That doesn't mean it won't change the game for how people search? Google had a monopoly and that is why they made such huge margins. Let's look at two companies. One Meta, they dont offer subscription based models for fb and ig because they make waaaaay more money by using ads. But Meta has no competition that can offer the same thing without ads where people can run to. If for only 5 or 10 bucks a month chatgpt offers an ad free based language model that isn't biased on products and services then a shitload of people will easily pay that. Also language models and ads just don't work as good as search engines and ads. Since links are your primary feature and within a language model you dont want that as a consumer.
Now look at netflix. This industry lost money for so long. All because these companies want to be the number one. Just because companies lose money dont mean they won't do it. Netflix and all streaming services lost money for ages. Thats a lot of fcf Google will lose if they have some competitors that are willing to lose money for a while to take on Google.
Sundar needs to be replaced, he hasn't done anything in the past 5 years and now it's very clear how asleep at the wheel he's been.
Big ole nothingburger. Buy more.
People are scared about the chat ai show how ignorant they are. The real risk is the governmwnt breaking google's monopoly on the ad market.
Yeah, my top 3 list is:
Government issues of monopolies.
Apple creating a search engine and dumping Google.
ChatGPT like language models destroying search engines use.
@@maxjames00077 Not worried about the language models too much because to say that google will not come out with something better is unlikely. They recently failed but the will eventually get it and make something better.
@@davidkoba it doesn't matter if Google comes with something better. Why do you think they didn't come with theirs first and rather waited? Because language models can ruin a big part of the use for search engines in the first place. It can change the entire game and thus the way they make most of their money
@@maxjames00077 what you said doen't even make sense. If they come with something better and the ai changes the game you think they won't evolve with it? You think they won't monotize it?
@@davidkoba OK so look. Google has a monopoly on search engine. Chatgpt changed the game. Google didn't. This new game will have new competition. Who has to say Google will have a monopoly on this new game? We can't possible know that.
Why did Google have a monopoly in the first place. Because it was extremely hard to make a good search engine and through the years Google was the only thing we had. Its embedded in our minds and even a verb. Google something.
So when other companies tried to make a search engine they failed and Google kept its monopoly until today.
But when we talk AI language models it will be different. These AI's can do way more then refering a simple link. All the big tech can easily pour a couple billion and make one. Why would Google land on top with a monopoly this time?
Apple could literally make a search engine right now that is as good as Google. They dont because Google pays them like 20 billion a year not to basically. But beside Apple, nobody owns enough devices to make it worth their while because they search engines don't have any use.
So we will have a new game soon with lots of companies being able to enter. Microsoft went all in on chatgpt straight away. Alibaba announced they will make something similar. Apple could easily too and combine it with a search engine even like Microsoft did. Meta already has a similar AI they said.
What did it cost to make chatgpt? The whole company is worth like 20bn. Big tech make enough fcf in a quarter to develop their own AI.
So if search engines become way less relevant and the game changes. How would you say Google is going to lead that entire industry like they do now? Its a less ad relevant business model and on top of that they might only own 50% of the market instead of 90%.
Why are you keep saying that chatgpt gives "bullshit" answers when its 99% accurate.
Do you think google search result gives 100% accurate information?
I don't think it's 99% accurate yet.
@@unrivaled Yes but its definitely not bullshit answers.
@@kvantaliani1992 It is in many scenarios. There are multiple videos that I found showing proof of Chatgpt being overconfident about the calculations but failed. Its not reliable.
