Came here looking for how to use Tascam 12 as midi master to my synth and adjust the tempo, but stayed for the song. Nice jam! Reminds me of some old Bathory demos and early songs, the tone and style. Legit.
Actually it WOULD be the doctor's fault if they over-prescribed... just sayin' ... Glad you are well. Thanks for the videos. i have the Korg D1200 and just pulled mine out of storage. I had been using a DAW for the past 20 years but have been considering the Tascam Model 12 and figured I needed to play with the D1200 to help with the decision - and the D1200 is definitely no slouch compared to the Tascam Model 12. I ended up discovering some tunes that I need to revisit. But mine has that exact same display problem. I left mine on standby (off but plugged in) for hours and then on for hours and the display did become more stable but is still glitching a bit. I found a solution online which requires opening up the unit and cleaning all the LCD contacts with alcohol or vinegar and then applying a bit of silicone dielectric grease on the connections to keep the problem from returning. To get to a question: Did you end up syncing the Korg to the Tascam when you transferred your files? The Korg D1200 is one of the few multitracks that will actually work in MIDI slave mode. If you can get the screen stable, you can sync it to the Tascam Model 12 and have a 22 track recorder. I suppose the best way to transfer tracks from the D1200 is to move them via USB to a computer first and then back over to the Model 12 via USB or through the SD card. I used to use the digital optical connector on the D1200 for particular applications. Cheers!
Very good advice. I need to try your suggestions for cleaning the D1200 LCD contacts. I didn’t midi sync to the D1200 but did at least backup all the tracks to CD.

You got skills for real. Nice composition. Thanks for posting.
Great Song!
can you make a tempo map with the MODEL 12? thanks
I have one of these and I can figure out how to put my demos on a cd . Is this thing only capable of burning one song to a cd at a time?
