  • Positive Sunday to everyone, the dub is in full effect. For the first time I’m going to put on display how I am using my tascam and running the organization for dub in my style. This machine is limited to two auxiliary sends and it does have an internal FX bank that is definitely usable, along with a sub output/send
. This composition is a cover from the band the ventures and it is titled “walk, don’t run” , it is a surf classic that I wanted to use and try to translate for a dub so I can mix. I have been fascinated by dub and attempting to mix it since 2005. This is an accumulation of my knowledge From a perspective of love. for whatever reason collaborations and jamming with other people has always been tough for me.. I have given an arm and a leg before with little return, and the reason I love dub is because I am blessed enough to be able to make the tracks so I can sit down and mix them, which is where the therapy is. I forgot who to give credit to whoever termed the phrase “sonic landscape”, but that is essentially what is happening. As a lover of nature and a student. I know that my auxiliary one represents the land, my auxiliary two represents the sea, and the echo returns represents space. There’s many other ways to express how I love the expression that is dub but to keep it short, it is a quarter pipe ,all producer/enginer/artist are skateboarders. Everyone does different tricks just like a wall is a blank canvas and everyone pieces different. I can truly say deep down from the bottom of my heart I love dub it has given me the strength to go on and to stand firm in times where others are on a different agenda. Happy dubbing to all that find this video useful and please feel free to leave a comment to show how much you love dub ✌️

Very inspiring ! Is it a Hardwire rv7 pedal ? Do you need to reamp to use those pedals ? Coupling those pedals to the mixer makes it more magic and fun I think.

@@maartenstevens9848 yes a digitech hardwire delay . Very nice pedal ! I have started using re amp boxes due to input of others . Yes you can use it like a plug in on the aux except it is going through the pedal !

Always been curious if I could dj live with traktor on this.

I don't have that and don't know how the outs go of that set up but absolutely. If its a stereo output, it is not different than my drums on channel 9/10. Just make sure the input can go to the mixer and you should be in business. Anything coming off the traktor can be affected by the other auxs and you can dub onto of your stereo mix

I have the akai midimix, but I plan on getting a tascam 12. It's just assigning pots and faders on the midimix, but it looks like the tascam has way more control.
      Thanks for the video 💥
