He would had found employment and great orchestras rather than struggle with the hateful, simple minded city of Leipzig. Yet, despite all obstacles Bach wrote the best music from the Baroque era.

Thank God for Bach. His music makes up fot a whole host of miseries that passes for “music” these days. He was as poor as a church mouse but unlike today money is not what motivated him.
Bach wasn't poor, but he wasn't rich either. He drew a regular salary as the director of music for the city of Leipzig. He depended on fees he would receive from playing funerals and other events.

I've been looking for this most of my life! Ever since I heard the one for #29 (featured as the opening/signature piece in "Switched on Bach" [synthesizer rendition] released circa 1972), I've always wondered what the others were like.
I always say you 'Thanks!' for good job & our great friend J.S.Bach. He was a genius and he composed a lot of the best music to us as listeners to managing our ears, souls and brains and he gave a lot of job for musicians to having them but not food only. ))) Your channell the first on RUclips. We are on the 'Titanic Re-born' but let's enjoy the great music much more!!!
