He was a genius and he composed a lot of the best music to us as listeners to managing our ears, souls and brains and he gave a lot of job for musicians to having them but not food only. ))) Your channell the first on RUclips. How sad that Bach lived in such a small circle, can you only imagine that London would have had access to Bach's music at the time? He would had found employment and great orchestras rather than struggle with the hateful, simple minded city of Leipzig. Yet, despite all obstacles Bach wrote the best music from the Baroque era.
Thank God for Bach. His music makes up fot a whole host of miseries that passes for “music” these days. He was as poor as a church mouse but unlike today money is not what motivated him.
Bach wasn't poor, but he wasn't rich either. He drew a regular salary as the director of music for the city of Leipzig. He depended on fees he would receive from playing funerals and other events.
I love this channel so much, I get so excited when a new video is released! I play these at night and rest easy next to my dog who also seems to be at ease when they play.

You can almost the voice of a counter-tenor in the Sinfonia from Cantata BWV 12 -- Absolutely Stunning.
