What a great ride. It reminded me of one of those alpine roller coasters that keep going up and up. Thanks for showing me a part of the world that I will never actually see in reality.
Rigi was the first mountain-top experience my wife and I had when we visited Switzerland (our trip started in Luzern). The view up there was incredible, as was the train ride up. Thanks for sharing this video and for bringing back good memories!
What a beautiful day to make this vid, the scenery is outstanding! I think I saw the winter version, not this completed, but the spring one is a whole new world! Thank you for this and all your vids. Greetings from Colombia
Hi from (sunny for a change) England! Another top notch video. You should get tourist board sponsorship because they definitely make me want to come to Switzerland one day. keep up the great work 👍
This is the ride I missed last year in Luzern, as I had to pick between Rigi and Pilatus (went to the Swiss Transport Museum on the rainy day instead), so thank you for this and I hope we will also have the Pilatusbahn here someday soon!
Hey, hey ... Nice ride on the Rigi! Brought back nice memories of a visit to CH a long while back. It was overcast when I took that ride so very nice to see the real scenery. Thanks for sharing! (Greetings from Tucson)
Made this same trip in the summer (Sunday 10th July) of 2022 - the weather was almost identical to that featured here - the new trains had been introduced only a couple of months before our visit - stunning views from the very summit of Rigi Kulm - it's not cheap though but fortunately the Hotel we were staying at had a discount scheme in operation so a not quite so obscene amount of money changed hands!
Geiles Video... ❤😊 Great video. Approximately 7km and from 435 to 1752 above the sea... What I like to much too are switches... And at the final station stands a TV and radio transmitter... ❤😊
Gorgeous video. Thanks. BUT...one thing I would LOVE to see is the use of a WIDE ANGLE camera. There is so much beautiful scenery on the sides that we never get to see. Such a shame.
Amazing geology of this mountain! It is uplifted and tilted, with very dramatic fault escarpments. Apparently conglomerate, especially visible at the opening to the tunnel.
This line is weird. A tourist rack railway that's double tracked and electrified, has simple scaffolding for halts and hypermodern stationbuildings and to top it all: cows with cowbells and Buddhists monks... 👍( O, and since I mentioned cowbells it's now mandatory for me to say that "I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!"😂)
Whenever I open U tube, frequency of Switzerland rail videos is often, next is Western movies. In this video I am seeing for the first time track is going through deep forest wooded areas. It is beautiful.
Remove the first 1, I'm not sure where you're getting that number. Using common sense, I take it you meant 3'000 m. You don't "need" supplemental oxygen yet at that elevation, unless you're elderly or have reduced longue capacity. I've been higher than that without it and felt fine.
To be honest I don't like it so much. A lot of the video is staring at the mountain. For a rack railway the downhill trip is probably a better idea because of the views.
🌲🌲🌲SUPER VIDEO! THANK YOU! 👍
Sincerely,thank you. I need this.👍👍👍👍
teşekkürler.

Glad you liked it

I can only imagine the incredible views on the way down, please make a video of that too!
Ein gutes video danke
this funicular ride was very special , thank you we enjoyed it.
A funicular is not self-powered and instead hauled by steel cables (and they are usually not very long). This is a rack railway.
Great video, loved it!
Beautiful!!
LOVED that ride.

Thank you for this. Years ago, I came up from Arth-Goldau. So now I've seen both routes.
Thanks you for the fantastic climb 😊
What a fun ride. Thanks
Dankeschön fürs Mitnehmen. Tolle Bahn, toller Ausblick. 👍🏻 Ich denke, ein Muss bei einem Schweizbesuch. Viele Grüße und bis zum nächsten Video. 🙋🏼♂️
BRAVO
amazing route and amazing nature⛰🚞
look forward to more

Nice view. 👍🙏
My family camped in Vitznau every summer when I was a teenager in the 1980s. I am taking my husband there for the first time next year!!
Nice! =)

MEEEEGA🤷♀️🙏Dankeschön 🤝 💗🌺💐💐💐💐💗🌺
sehr schöne Zahnradbahn
Sehr gut
You can easily tell the steep gradient of this line when you see the buildings next to the line.

Besten Dank!
Goooood from iraq
🏆💪🔝
Amazing geology of this mountain! It is uplifted and tilted, with very dramatic fault escarpments. Apparently conglomerate, especially visible at the opening to the tunnel.
The Rigi is actually sediment left by the massive glaciers that once covered the regions, which makes it quite different to the other mountains around

É like👍

Beutiful country ❤❤but no money to visit 😢😢😢😢
Same here, we need a lottery win 🏆 😂
Muito bom
I didn't think it was possible: the gradient is 250 thousandths
Video quality is exceptional! What did you shoot with?
One question. Do the ticket checkers come to see the tickets onboard? Or do the passengers need to first show the ticket before boarding the train?
Option 1
What is the blue and white flag next to the Swiss flags?
These people don’t go out for lunch.
Quelle est sa vitesse d'ascension ? Elle me paraît rapide ! Fabuleux trajet !!!
25:19 Beam me up Scotty
You didn’t show any views from the top!
Are you the driver?
Isn't that a mistake? Length 6700 km
Where did you see that?
11,752m??? Why is everyone alive?? Oxygen is required above 3,00m!

How can this have a 250% grade??
Not %
@@lorirocks777 umm what is the grade then ?
250 ‰ = 25 %
@@swisspeach67 oh its 10% of the grade.. but still 25% is crazy
Fabuleux ❤
Very interesting , only on summer time ? 🥸
Thanks, I also filmed with some snow about a year ago.
