I also have really enjoyed Apica notebooks. I find their navy blue and grey covers and their design just gorgeous. With my tendency to use finer to medium nibs the paper has behaved very well for me. Here in the US they are quite affordable and tend to be my preferred knock around notebooks. They also have a nice selection of sizes and colors in their notebooks as well. Hard to beat for a couple of dollars.
I have used this notebook many times. It was a very good notebook. But I wasn't using fountain pens at the time. It seems to do fountain pen ink fairly well, but with more saturated ink and broader nibs, it seems to start to feather and bleeding. Thanks for the review and demonstration, Garry.
I recently cracked open my first Apica CD Notebook (A6)for journaling. Mine is square grid, and does feel like it has a bit of a coating. Enjoying it a lot so far! The paper thus far is fountain pen friendly but not calligraphy nib (I like 1.5mm and up, to do headlines and stuff) friendly.
Really enjoy your videos Garry. You should if you havent tried them yet, Muji notebooks. Just cheaper than this one but more pages and paper quality is phenomenal. I have given up on Moleskine as they are now crap.
Thank you for this, as there isn't too many reviews on this brand.

I can see myself collecting a number of these. I like that they are not too "thick" so can be really useful for a lot of my project notebooks.

It was quite an interesting one. I am intending to get some more of these notepads

I've not tried those. I've just added it to my future to-buy list. Thanks.
