Love your videos...been watching quite a while. Looking forward to leaving the USA again, moving to Playa del Carmen or Cozumel for therapeutic snorkeling and scuba daily. Love it that you retired early...I was an entrepreneur and I served in the US Army Airborne, where I was dropped 30 feet during training thus have major muscular-skeletal issues, although I still served while eating 800mg ibuprofen 3X daily. Although I'm in a wheelchair now, I'm not letting that stop me. I've lived in both Guatemala (Antigua and Lake Atitlan area...loved your friends videos "Jumping Places" too...brought back some nice memories) and Panama. Therefore I'm familiar with the infrastructure challenges of a mobility challenged life in Latin America. Gotta get my passport renewed and I'll be down there for sure. Adaptive scuba is the next thing for me...living the second half of my life in the water as much as possible....channeling my inner Jacques Cousteau 😃 Hope your health returns to 100% shortly.
Wow Lee, let me first say, you are an inspiration and I really appreciate you sharing your story! Reading this over my morning coffee brought a huge smile to my face!! Secondly, thank you for your service. My brother was also US Army Airborne, and his body also paid a big price. I LOVE the adaptive diving and scuba diving idea and think, what a brilliant and worthy way to spend the next chapters of life! I am also getting certified to dive as soon as I’m fully healthy! Can’t wait to unlock that whole new world under the sea. A friend of mine just dove with Bull Sharks and it looked so incredible! All the best to you and look forward to seeing you down here! P.S. That’s so cool that you lived in the Lago Atitlan area in Guatemala. That’s on my list for later this year 😎 🇬🇹.
@theropemonster heck to the yea, man! You inspire me to get off the couch and get back out to the beach every time you post a video. Enjoyed your Mexico City content too...but there's nothing like a good Playa. Guatemala: Well, I went there to weather the storm from the 2008 recession in the USA where I lost my businesses in Ohio. I had a college buddy living in Antigua, whom kept telling me that I could live like royalty on $1000 per month in Antigua in 2009. Ended up staying 16 months primarily in Antigua. Visited Panajachel (closest Lake Atitlan town to Antigua) where I caught a boat taxi to San Pedro la Laguna. Stayed 4 days in Lake Atitlan region. It was a truly magical experience. I'm looking forward to exploring the reef off Cozumel often. Hope to meet you out there sometime.
I can say that the oregano oil works.. as a tin hat guy, i used holistic remedies when i caught the chyna virus that one time. congrats on the channel bro.
Hey RM! Glad you're on the mend! I was one of those who got sick in Playa 2 weeks ago, but I then got as much sun and sleep as I could and was good enough to go to Oaxaca. I am back home with some symptoms, and literally, EVERYONE in Toronto is sick! 😅 'Ti's the season!! Take care!
Hey RopeMonster, seems like you are doing better, but yes keep up with the treatment. Thanks for the beautiful view at 72. My wife has been very sick with something intestinal for 3 days now. She is better than day one but not well. We are definitely not rooftop party people but, we know you will make it a good time. Hope to catch you later.
Hey guys! Sorry to hear about your wife…I’m sure you’re taking great care of her though and she’ll be in my thoughts and prayers. Hope to see you guys out and about soon ❤️😎🏝️
Hey RM, great to meet you with my buddy, Steve, at CTM & 5th on the way to Branton Burger, and discussing my 3 Beachfront Condos for short/long term rental here in Playa Del Carmen! BONUS of a Free Pass (300 mxn per person Savings) to Martina Beach Club for all Your Subscribers that Reserve any of them when they contact You exclusively.
Love the video and that sunrise is gorgeous🤗 I’m looking for a place in Playa that accepts pets so if you come across any please do share🙏🏼🤩 Feel better and soak up that sunshine!
I will absolutely look out for pet-friendly apartments! Me and a buddy were just discussing that yesterday because he has a dog. He said he finally found a place in the Los Olivos neighborhood for $13,000mxn/month that had a garden and plenty of space for his pup! 🐶❤️
Good to hear you're getting better and now know what you suffer from. Take good care of yourself. Do the owners of the apartments do short-term - like 2 months?
Yes I deworm every 6 months just to be safe!! Thanks for checking out the video my friend! Salt water gargle seems to help but the oregano oil has been 👑!!
Hey Bruh, glad you're feel better! Are you aware of any good MMA or Brazilian Jiujitsu in Playa? I visited the Union, super cool dude for Muay Thai but no grappling or MMA. I see a couple on the internet, do you know any of these places?
Great question Kirk! I only know of The Union on 10th as well but as far as MMA I haven’t seen anything as of yet. Thanks for checking out the video 😎🏝️
Glad you are feeling better man. Looking forward to seeing the rentals soon.
