I'm so down for this channel to just become the Spark Sheik Tutorials channel for now. Super nice to consistently get the SSBM-T quality level of videos for my main!
Also the camera angle will tel you if an opponent has slight di. When 2 chars are looking at eachother vs one or both looks away from eachother, the camera widens to show behind each character. If an opponent slight dis behind you, you can easily tell because the camera angle dramatically widens when they pass behind you
well I can verify this is the guy you wanna get your Sheik techchase tips from...had the privilege of playing him for a couple hours once and goddamn, dude's got an iron grip. I was like, you actually really can just literally react every time and not mess up, huh? I didn't even feel like it was really possible until I had it done to me. and yea, it feels like wobbling at that point lmao
You don't have to jc grab as Sheik. Jc grab and dash grab both come out at frame 8, since you have to wait for at least a frame after you start the jump squat to be able to cancel it with grab. Thus it's the same speed if you're frame perfect but also has the potential to be slower.
@@sebastiandewolfe7849 Doesn't matter since if you don't aim at missing a rtc. In the case of rtc all that matters is speed since the faster it is the more buffer you have. So yes while that is the case it's more applicable in neutral and not really in the case of rtc.
@@maxono1465 It really isn't, you still get punished if you whiff a jc grab since you are on top of them. And 99% of the time you miss the rtc because you're late, so it's very rare that end lag plays a part.
You mention Shiek is the only character that should boost grab, and directly after show a clip of Marth. Marth has a good boost grab too! Not as totally free as Shiek's but still very consistent.
I bypass the dashback out of crouch hurdle by starting a dash forwards and immediately doing a little dashdance to turn around and get the same result, just a little slower. Still gives enough time to get there most of the time on fox and falco, and if not you can boostgrab.
@@Agnosticuzumaki You only need to dash back to react to roll behind. For everything else I'm assuming spencer is still using a regular dash forward out of crouch as it's a more forgiving input than dash back out of crouch
You do it on reaction to roll back. If you see get up attack, you keep holding crouch and then do a regular dash forward out of crouch. When reaction tech chasing, you don’t have to worry about anything being spammed because you are reacting. You have a flow chart for everything and in sparks flowchart, dashback is only necessary for roll away, which is what Spencer is addressing
@@DoubtedPumpkin this is a combo. you can tech to the edge and grab ledge with invincibility. also, only insanely good players can tech chase consistently, and even then it’s never a guarantee. a tech case is inherently a 2 way interaction unlike wobbling
So if you're against a sheik thats so good they don't drop this, you can miss tech and getup attack every time and you just trade percents... grab pummel down throw is 11% and 2 hits of getup attack is also 11% lol
I don't play, but they could go for a jab reset which opens up your chances, right? If they start doing that, it leaves you open to getting away with the other options.
@@Boyzby Sorry not sure I understand what you mean. A jab reset can be a chance to SDI up and out, which you can option select I beleive. But I think sheiks jab reset on reaction, which would not leaves you open to get away (gessing you meant by hitting the tech?)
@@keb7066 Sure but that breaks the chain grab. Plus that open up your options to tech once again. It definitly is still a game of making your opponent mess up but my initial comment was about an opponent that reaction tech chases too well. Once an opponent is reading instead of reacting it means you have a way out of the punish which you didn't have before
Fox’s getup attack only deals 11% when both hits connect; if you’re performing this technique at higher percentages, crouch canceling getup attack will move you away farther, so typically you’re only getting hit with one hitbox.
@@byrne1807 Yeah, but I don't mean straight copying the technique as shown here by using grab. I was thinking if it would be possible to use dair/shine instead or maybe f smash depending on the situation.

Putting wobbling in the title gives such a bad mentality to newer players who will think that there is no counterplay and that it takes no skill.
