      I don’t know what’s laughable about it. Every wrestler in the 80s and early 90s was cartoony. So a zombie wrestler actually fit right in. It made him actually look cool in comparison since he was a dark character who threatened to kill and bury the other wrestlers. Thats better than colorful goody two shoes babyfaces like Hulk and Bret. Who told us to take our vitamins and say our prayers.
      The realistic characters would not have worked in this era either. So I don’t know what non laughable ones you were talking about.

But, because marks need to live in the past, please Undertaker come out wearing a fucking oversized tie like you're in a spaghetti western.
      How bout fo his last match, Taker comes out dressed like himself, Big Evil the American Badass and we all pay him respect for the decades he has spent turning himself into another character for us?

    I don't buy Conrad saying Hogan claims he broke his neck at Survivor Series, This Tuesday in Texas was 5 days after Survivor Series and their match then was longer than their Survivor Series if Hogan had a broken neck he wouldn't have wrestled at all. Hogan isn't known as a man to tough out injuries.

    • @1981bigdee
      @1981bigdee 6 лет назад +6

      Hogan did say taker broke his neck, it's in his book. Also taker was apparently convinced he did injure Hogan and was distraught about it till he saw the match and realised Hogan was full of shit. It caused a bit of heat at the time I think

    1. it's hilarious that hogan (who had met mark calloway about literally the same month he signed with wwf) claims to have sold vince on him ... come on hogan
    2. WCW really missed the boat. They had so many great wrestlers who would've stayed with WCW if only WCW would push them. Imagine the main event matches with Sting, Flair, etc if only WCW wasn't so poorly run

    • @Matt-cr4vv
      @Matt-cr4vv 2 года назад

      Hard to say. A lot of the guys they missed on got amazing characters in WWF. The Undertaker isn't the Undertaker without the character. Neither is Stone Cold. Doesn't mean they wouldn't have been good with a push in WCW, but the reason we have this hindsight with them is due to the characters they became.

      @@Matt-cr4vv true to an extent although Steve Austin came up with the stone cold gimmick, similarly Scott Hall came up with the Razor Ramon gimmick. But you're correct that it wasn't just lack of push but general bad creative

    Vince is the type guy who sees a wrestler he might sign up he doesn't see much in him yet he signs him anyway and Mark Calaway proved Vince wrong and also proved Olie Anderson wrong when he told Mark Calaway that he had no future in WCW or Wrestling in general because no one would pay to see him.....................both Austin and Cena also were two others that Vince didn't see much in them and was proved wrong.

A 6/9 big man that can do little man moves and looks like a bad ass , but see HBK as the man if WCW had pushed Taker , Austin , Nash , Hall aka Diamond Studd those 4 alone couldve made WCW great they all help WWF put WCW out of business just how Vince used AWA back in the day by taking Hogan , The Brain , The Body , DR.D to build his Company he the next time used WCW the same way.
