- 'Wild One' was written by Johnny Greenan, Johnny O'Keefe, and Dave Owens, and first recorded by Australian rocker, Johnny O'Keefe in 1958. That same year it was covered by Jerry Lee Lewis and by Jerry Allison (the drummer of The Crickets), using his middle name, Ivan. Both The 'Killer' and The Crickets often included the song in their live performances. My version is based on Jerry Lee's recording.
I love the sound of your and the way you play, Marc from France

Thanks Patrick👍🎶🎸
Loved it! I'm going to try that lead break too. I do quite a few 12 bars, and A is my natural key, but I've never been a lead guitarist.
🙂👍
Thanks very much! When playing without backing, I try to keep the volume and intensity going during the instrumental breaks by making them rhythm/chord solos ...following Buddy Holly's example. I'm never too sure how well it works though.
Love the song and the way you play it also need to find myself a guitar strap that goes around the neck like that
Thanks very much! It's an ordinary, leather guitar strap. I fasten it to the headstock with another little strap. You can buy them on Amazon and Ebay - search for 'leather guitar headstock strap'.
Just fantastic !
Thanks very much!
Jez, this is another great song and video. Thank you for the close-up during the rhythm solo!
Thanks very much!
That's absolutely brilliant!
