When I was a kid, my parents made 3 VHS tapes loaded with Christmas/holiday specials recorded from television. This was on one of them, and I watched it ALL THE TIME!!! I haven't seen this since I was about 10 or so. I have the biggest smile on my face, right now. :-D I'm a whiteboy from rural MI, and this just made my day. Thanks for uploading!
The music in the opening is music fort he soul! Ive heard others with a Stevie Wonder opening theme, but this is the one I will always remember! Great vid! Never gets old. This was about real situations. Christmas cartoons nowadays dont have a christmas episode like this, it hits home
The timing of the jokes make me think of this as the black "hee-haw". But the animation in this and the f a halloween specials is superb and in a style all its own.
I saw a list of worst Christmas specials, and this was on it. To me this is quite good. It actually mentions Christ, it has that good Fat Albert message of working together. You want awful, watch Jingle all the way or something like that. This show is underrated. I like it.

A lost Filmation classic no doubt. I remembered this cartoon on Saturday mornings back in the 70's and 80's.
