The ventilation is in the inner layner in metro, just looka at it . Vents from the shell comes thru the inner layner and there are the channels that typically are in EPS.
I don't get why most ppl find it noisy and heavy. Infact it's one of the quitest ls2 that I have tried, and true it is heavy, but balanced. Not front or back heavy. So it doesnt strain my neck.
Got this helmet. The liner on the forehead bleeds onto your skin when you sweat there. There is also some hard stitching in the area of the forehead by where your hair grows out your scalp, gonna have to put electric tape there, it leaves a thin line right on that scalp area because of the stitching. The fit is good, it is comfortable. However I don't recommend this helmet. It has this lip around the bottom that you can't slide bracket attachments between the helmet and liner like for sena prism tube or other Bluetooth, you have to use sticky mounts. Extremely disappointed in that decision for an otherwise nice helmet. Also the neck roll is a CHORE to remove and put back, that wire system? Needs to go.
Hi there, I bought this same helmet, but it doesn't come with the front vent caps. Do you sell those separately? Can you point me at a site where I can purchase them? Thanks!
Honestly, it just depends whether you like a modular flip-up chin bar or not. If yes, then go with the Metro. If you don't need the flip-up chin bar, the Pioneer is good. -DrewZilla *bit.ly/MetrovPioneer
Hey great review! Wanted to buy this helmet, and tried it already. definitely good price for the bang. Wondering about the liners material, is it comfortable for the long run? Felt a bit weird compare to the suede. If you need to choose, this or caberg duke 2, which one?
Well we don't carry Caberg, so we can't really compare it. I can say that the liner is pretty comfortable long-term, but everyone is different in what they find comfortable. -DrewZilla
The only difference is that the Metro V3 is the DOT-rated model for the US market. The Metro Evo is for markets outside the US. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/ls2-metro-v3-helmet
Stupid question, but what's the open and what is the closed position for the top vents? I can't tell the difference on my own and the instructions are non existant.
Would like to know if the adjustable chin vents since they are active now, do you get the same amount of air as the previous versions that are not active. Although, they ruined the helmet by taking out the channeling that was in previous versions, not sure how you would have any airflow with this
Are you wearing ear plugs? Do you have a windscreen with height adjustments? Either there is a hole in the helmet that isn't sealed properly, or the air is coming off your bike's aero and causing the noise. Either way, ear plugs would be a good start. Hopefully that helps!
@@RevZilla Thanks for the earplugs suggestions. It helps. I ride Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn. It has no windshield. I can see some gaps in the modular joint. Any suggestions to close/seal it properly?
No that does not indicate an incorrect size. Safety is first and foremost for a proper fitting helmet, not speaker pockets. Focus on the fit via comfort while still being tight (without pressure points) before you worry about the speaker pockets. Speakers get loud enough that you will hear them when they are near your ears, but having a proper fitting helmet in a crash is infinitely more important than speaker pockets. I'm planning to buy this helmet but I saw that this video was posted in 2017. Do you think they will produce a newer version for Metro Evo, maybe v4? Thank you very much! Your videos are very informative and is really helpful to us who are looking for a helmet. :)
I sometimes feel like the longer the video is, the more you have to pay or something, because you talk so fast...…...like 1000 words must fit into 2 minutes.
No, it appears it is not currently available in India. However, we do ship to India. Shipping cost depends on size, weight, and value. Some brands may not be shipped to certain destinations due to manufacturer restrictions. If you have selected an item that cannot be shipped internationally, we will inform you in the checkout process on our site. I find the noise ok, it's the high frequency vibration from the peak that gets annoying. I had to raise my screen and remove my bar risers to improve but not eliminate the issue. The most expensive equivalent (Schuberth E1) probably does the same because the peak is only attached at each side of the helmet to enable rearward rotation when the chin piece is opened. My previous LS2 helmet peak was secured in three points as the helmet was not modular (and did not vibrate).

Why United States LS2 Metro V3 is Intermediate Oval? ls2helmets.us/modular/metro-v3 While Asia LS2 Metro Evo is Long Oval? ls2helmets.com/ph/commuter/metro-evo Are their shell shape different from US and Asia?
We find the fit to be almost in between intermediate and long oval. The shells should be the same between the US and the Philippines, but the internal fit might be slightly different. -DrewZilla
That sucks because this was going to be my next. After watching this review no way will I spend my money on something that can't even have a 3D liner and channels in the EPS for better ventelation.
I hear hear you on that, but I'm still going to give it a try. It seems like LS2's m.o. is geared towards more diffuse airflow through the shell rather than streams of air. For those of us riding in cooler/wetter climates, having ventilation without cold spots seems appealing. It also seems the the chin and jaw vents will move plenty of air.
Their earlier version have channels in the eps and has a 3-d liner, and I would not bet on the new active vents giving you more air, but probably less than the previous version which are just open. I own the FF324 Metro white and orange, and thought the peak would be a great idea since I am looking for a second helmet, but I will stick with the earlier version, love all the ventilation it has
SLOW THE FUCK DOWN! It's impossible to understand you!!! Anyway, I have one of these helmets, it's really nice but it does put pressure on your forehead after a while, and will sometimes leave a light red mark. I have the largest size. Other than that, I recommend it. Bang for your buck - it's amazing value!

Sir, can we put tools for mount chin gopro over there?
Seems it doesnt flat enough to put a glue strap gopro
Does the chin bar have a lock when you flip it up like the metro v2?
Yes, it has the locking switch to hold it up. -DrewZilla

This or Scorpion ADX-1 (AT950)?
The LS2 provides slightly more ventilation, but it's also slightly louder as a result. -DrewZilla

How to reduce wind noise in this helmet? I have very very loud noise coming from the modular joint.

How to order sir?
Looks like it has more visibility?
The V2 and V3 have the same field of view. -DrewZilla

whats the difference of this to ff324?

Here in Pakistan ls2 evo have sticker of ECER 22.05 on backside, not printed. Is that original homologation with a sticker?
It's hard to say. We aren't able to inspect the helmets in Pakistan. Some ECE helmets do have stickers for certification. -DrewZilla

With the new closing mechanism on the chin vents, did it help with the wind noise? Or same as the older models?
It is slightly quieter, but it's still pretty average for noise. -DrewZilla
Do I put the velcro of the sena in the speaker pocket of the liner?
Yes, you put the the adhesive-backed 'loop' side of the Velcro in those molded recesses of the liner and then attach the speakers to those. -DrewZilla
Confused as to weather this helmet is intermediate oval or long oval?
We consider it to be intermediate oval, but it's a bit longer front to back than other intermediate oval helmets. -DrewZilla
Excuse me sir, I came from Indonesia, I love the video and the content of all you review!!
Size imposed by talent, what measure??
The helmet in the video was size Large (LG). -DrewZilla

Will the new v3 version liners fit in the old one ?
