As described in the video, I mention that there are, infarct, great communities out there that promote healthy group activities, deeper learning and are more inclusive. I will be discussing the communities that I have found to promote positivity in another video.

This is absolutely facts. I'm a Wolf from NYC, I've definitely seen the politics and the butt kissing to achieve "status" or "rank" within the Vampire Community. Ive even had to disassociate from people who were friends at a time because they got sucked into the vampire drama machine.
I think the ego is important for Vampires because of the mysteries of Immortality... Thats why it makes sense to me that many Vampires are egotistical. But it does get draining.
Also. Ronin is the way. I dont quite use that term to describe myself as I feel its a vampire term. But when I was learning about the community, it was in the context of being a Ronin.

I came up in some online circles in the late 2000s which led me to the vampirism community to explain a variety of things in my own life and experience, but fell out of those communities around 2010, largely due to an excess of what we used to call "Fluff" and "whitelighter bullshit"(AKA people who watched way too many shitty films and read a lot of very poorly researched neo-spiritualist nonsense and came up with the wrong kind of ideas) that just took over some communities due to a lack of gatekeeping and overpermissiveness. The bad shit eventually outweighed the good, and a lot of the online spaces I was a part of were absolutely destroyed by infighting and political backbiting, so a lot of us just jumped ship and spoke through chat clients and social media. I left most social media years back, so I went back to being what we used to call "Solitary" which seems to be what you're referring to as "Ronin".

Hey!! This is a great video- thank you. I think it’s important to talk about the negatives or dangers of communities because they help people know the danger signs and warnings. It is very easy to hyperfixate or feel love bombed or a puppy-love phase with new hobbies, communities, etc. especially for neurodivergent people. You don't need to name names, Hellie. We know who you're talking about. So many vampire groups have been overrun by narcissists who want to gatekeep and exclude anyone and anything that doesn't benefit them personally. I remember a post you made in a particular book of faces group that was lovely. We were so supportive of you, which I guess upset the group admin. Her snide remarks were so nasty. And her little sycophants piling on weren't helpful either.

Thank you for saying this. I was really hesitant to post this even though I wasn’t naming names and trying to be vague in some areas and encourage people to do their own research. I’ll be posting what I do like about some communities in another video, but I felt this needed to be discussed especially for people who want the sense of community and aren’t necessarily aware of red flags

Yeah about 20 years ago when I rebelled against Christianity, I joined one of these Temples, I immediately started comparing it to what I just ran from in Christianity. This happens a lot in the Church of Satan and their related communities. The thing that has already attracted me to the Vampire archetype is it's individuality. For instance if I was the fictional mythical version, I would not spend my power climbing any social ladders or attending school for an eternity(what I hated about Twilight). Oh on the music, I was a part of a Vampire faction that tried to prohibit me from listening to goth and industrial music. Which I personally love.
If only people knew that real vampires exist. Not humans pretending to be vampires, but actual supernatural creatures

I'm actually using a Subliminal to grow Bat Wings. I think the Title of the Subliminal is Become a Bat Winged Avian. But yeah. I also have a Become a Nekomimi Subliminal, which gives me Elflike Ears, that I can turn into Cat Ears as well as my desired Fangs. I'm also using a Mtf Mermaid Goddess Subliminal, which gives me Aquatic Adaptations, Like Bioluminescence, and Venom in my Claws. I'm kinda becoming a Chimera of sorts, because I want to help protect supernaturals like you, and maybe be part of the Family, even if I'm not turned, so to speak. But yeah, using a few of the Subliminals in my playlist, I will be hopefully able to gain a few of the Movie based Vampire like traits. Anyway, if you get to know me, you'll realize I'm actually Willing to give my life for my friends. I hope you won't mind if I'm a Meta-Human of sorts.

I'd call myself a vampire but like, it's not because I need to feed on magic energy or have special abilities or anything like that lol. It's just something I identify pretty strongly with, and I have a pretty intense taste for the red stuff. The rest is just a fun fantasy, which is totally cool. But when you start getting fiction confused with reality it gets a little bit worrying ngl.
