Thanks, Manny. I usually have problems figuring out exactly where you are over there, but this video kind of brought me back to that Jersey City vibe. I lived and worked there in the '70s, and was back over the following years, plus delivered supplies down there for most of the first decade of this century. Despite my dislike for those new towering monstrosities, I would move back there in a heartbeat if we could afford it. Keep your videos coming, I appreciate them, and I'm glad you're getting a chance to feel the heartbeat of a vibrant city that's on it's way back into the new era.
Thank you, I wish they would not build these tall buildings and maintain the neighborhood like it is, but still enjoying the experience of loving here.
I sent your video to my ex-wife who lived there with me back in the '70s. She's been diagnosed with early Alzheimer's, and I thought this might get her memories going. She loved it, and asked me to send her the ones you did in downtown JC, and also in Park Slope and elsewhere in Brooklyn where we had also lived before JC. Just to give you a heads up and another thank you for the pleasure your videos provide. Thanks for all you do, Manny. @@MannyExploresVlog
Great video on JS. the boring 5 over 1 architecture condos are somewhat of a necessary drawback to the affordable housing in the country right now. I see them pop up all over the other parts of NJ and i read that their design is usually bland and repetitive because that's what makes them low cost and affordable. Good to see JC try to help out the people
Come ride this year's Jersey City bike Ward Tour, will take place on the first Sunday of June, it passes thru the Greenville neighborhood, i think it will make for a great vlog!
Great video of my home town! Haven't been there since 2018 to visit my dad. I'm in Georgia now. Hey man, can you walk around maybe Union City some, possibly Central Ave? Maybe Hoboken too? Carlos Bakery? I appreciate these walks 🙂
Manny, in the apartments on journal square at JFK and sip avenue right there on the corner, I was living in there when I was 4 years old 1969, and the first time I saw snow I remember walking out of the building on to JFK boulevard getting in my father's car, and the snow all over the place is my first memory of snow 4 years old living there in those apartments. Also in those apartments I remember the first time I saw my guardian angel. And also in that apartments I remember sticking the key in the electric socket and I burned my hand with electric. I'm only 4 years old I have those memories of that in those apartments.
Manny the DQ ice cream place on West side avenue has been there since the 1950s. A couple of blocks down from there you were talking about the Filipino restaurants my grandma lived there , you passed right by her house on the corner of Boyd avenue and west side. They used to have across the street from my Grandma's house LBC shipping from Philippines. She live there like in the early 1970s and died in 1986.
Would I be weird to visit Jersey City from Europe? To experience Anerican life? And not going into nyc? What do you all think? Also, would it be safe for a female solo?

I've only been to Journal Sq and Jersey City in general a couple of times, it's pretty cool over there. It kind of reminds me of western Queens.
