- In tribute to the passing of Betty White, here is Betty on Sonny & Cher's 1976 show doing what Betty did best, making people smile. Rest In Peace Betty...you'll be deeply missed...

Cher's outfits really were iconic.
Bob Mackey
Bob Mackey...yet another legend.
I don't think its possible for her to look bad in anything.
She's so thin. :)
So was Cher’s figure!! She was a human mannequin! I’m sure designers loved to dress her!!
The fact this is almost 50 years old and funnier and fresher than SNL
SNL was hilarious then too.
Beautiful, fun memories. Sonny & Cher had undeniable chemistry and magic together. God bless dear Betty White's soul and what a wonderful life she had...plus, the rich legacy she left to us all!❤
To think at this point she still had another 46 years in her. Nothing compares to the 70's variety shows. The best time.
The 70s was better period. I'm so glad I got to be born in the 60s. Best era of cars, people were happy, strong, didn't get their feelings hurt so easy. No cellphones, computers. I think that's why movies were better then. People developed imagination. We had to.
People would be happier without the cellphones and computers once they got over the shock. I know I would go back and stay.
Back when television was clean and fun. So miss real talent ... no voice overs ...
She was the best on the variety and game shows. RIP Betty White.
So glad we have all these old classics! They don't make television like they used to! Only the one and only Betty White could pull off a beautiful dress like that! As always a class act!!!
0:25 MYGOD Cher is gorgeous. That outfit is to die for.
Bob Mackie created amazing clothes for her, didn't he. Love it.
How in the heck is her stomach so flat
Back in the days when she hadnt done face changes. Cher was so beautiful!
That figure is to die for.
@@donnamccullough1375 I'd love to see what she'd look like today had she not had one lick of work done in the past on her face. It would be startling. And probably much better. I love Cher but plastic surgery often starts an OCD pattern and you become something too smooth and tight and unnatural looking.
And Cher is last man standing 😔 Xxo
Love love loved Sonny and Cher together.....Betty White was a beauty too !
Rest in Peace and in the arms of your beloved husband. I'm happy that you've finally been reunited with Allen.
❤
Good grief, I thought you meant Cher for a minute.
That just made me cry.....
Lived the Sonny and Cher variety show. This was classic tv, we need more like this to come back.
Another view of the fabulous Betty White! She was amazingly beautiful in her early days, as well as very funny. Could dance and sing too!
RIP Betty White....you beautiful woman....the world will never be the same without you!
It really isn't 😢💔
And very talented ❤️👍🏿🇦🇺
LOL ... of course it will.
@@justgivemethetruth Always one in the bunch!
Genuine love!
The outfit in the beginning shows how timeless Cher is. Gosh this brings me so many wonderful memories. RIH Betty White🥰❤❤....she also eternally gorgeous 😍
I totally agree! I bought my mom a bunch of the Carol Burnett Show DVD'S, now I want to watch them. It's gonna snow here again, i should get those DVD'S out & have a marathon day/night watching these awesome shows! 🥰
I love that outfit too 😍
It's a great legacy that she leaves behind.
Sonny! Love ya Cher Watched it all the time in the 70s
She was and will always be America's Sweetheart. I can't wait until she becomes St. Betty.
An iconic couple, had feelings and some sort of personal chemistry for each other that I don’t think ever completely vanished.
Divorce or not these two loved each other.
I remember watching this show. Those good o'l days!!!
They appeared so happy and natural together even when reading the script. Felt more real that the highly produced shows today.
And it was obvious when she spoke so lovingly, admiringly, respctfully and emotionally at his funeral. Divorce can make a relationship better, when parties can move on from their shared problems.
@@lindaclark9925 - That was their signature style. They put each other down in ligh-hearted ways (perhaps you're too young to have watched them over the years that they played off each other?).
Chem
This show was among the best, always fun, always great entertainment.
I’m here after reading Cher’s sweet tweet upon Betty White’s passing. Look for it, you’ll love it.
Rest In Peace, Betty White. You will be forever missed, forever remembered ♥️
Wish we still have comedy variety shows these days!
SNL
@@jweber4548 It's just a comedy show, not a variety show per say, but yes it's the closest thing we have today.
They try but they just never stick.
This is fabulous. Flip Wilson was outstanding. I miss those days.
Betty White was gorgeous. Her whole life. Just breathtaking. Beautiful woman.
Sonny was way under rated as a performer and talent, Cher is fantastic, but please give Sonny his credit to this team.
I do ✌🏼😂
Sony was good as a comedian, not a singer.
As sheriff described it at Sonny's funeral, Sunny was confident enough to be the butt of the joke.
And his voice is a lot richer than I remembered.
I guess you didn't hear Cher's eulogy.
I loved it when they were married …..they were so good together
They're divorced in this episode.
Yes they were even though he liked to cheat. Nobody is perfect.😁
Sonny and Cher, pure gold!
From New Orleans Louisiana Cher you're a true icon sending lots of love and blessings to you
The fact that Sonny can't sing and does so well with Cher, it's always amazed me. RIP Betty White and Sony Bono
Because he was a songwriter as well they were better together
How we loved them! US on the big screen! After all the stuffy, boring oldies we BUSTED out with Cher’s navel! So grateful I had such a rock and roll youth!
Sounds like this was 1977 and that would have made Betty White about 55 years old at the time. She was always remarkable RIP Betty.
Oh my, this is gold! Everybody should see this. R.I.P. Betty White.
That two piece Cher's wearing....is everything as the kids say.
I love this. Great times. Fun for everyone. Thank you.
Cher and Betty white singing together!
I remember Cher when I was a little girl I loved to see her and Sonny come out to sing her wardrobe was so beautiful
Thanks for posting this video live from CBS television city. Please post more of these great videos. RIP to all who have not gone away, merely gone ahead until we see them again 💔. Please be thankful of the beautiful memories we all possess of our beloved loved ones who have gone ahead. Memories of these loved ones are how they continue to live in our hearts and memories until we meet them again never more to part ♥
Beautifully said
Absolutely Perfect !!
Oh goodness, my husband and I loved this show. Seems like yesterday, and we were so young.
Back when tv actually required some talent
Not just shock value
Always loved them. Was sorry for what happened to Sonny. I know he will always be in Cher's heart. I love Cher, I go to her concerts, she's awesome. The loss of Betty White was a heartbreaking thing for many.❤❤❤❤
Loved these days!! How innocent and young.
Great show! Pure fun and funny. Betty White really shines, what a talented lady. Ken Barry and Flip Wilson were wonderful as well. Cher loves old films so much, she must have had a blast with her Lana Turner. Nice to hear Sonny and Cher sing, Sam Cooke's, "Bring Your Sweet Lovin' Home to Me". Thanks for sharing.
Gold! Two hilarious, timeless women. Thank you for sharing and RIP Betty White
I love you Betty. RIP
Betty White was beautiful inside and out..rest in Peace Betty
Betty was such a wonde full actress.
Talented in every field of entertainment. Beautiful woman.
I just realized that I was sucking in my stomach during the whole opening of the show.🤣
Thanks for posting this! Man it takes me back. We used to watch this when I was a kid. What a great time to be alive
Agree...we were very lucky to have grown up in these groovy times 🎈🎈🎈🎈✌
My family, all 6 of us, would crowd into the family room to watch this show. I had to sit on the floor, but i didn't mind. Cher was my idle. I was 6 years old when this came out. The TV wasn't big. The image didn't have many pixels compared to today's standards. Didn't matter. It was family time.
@@monicainmadrid Yep! I was so excited to get the Cher doll for my birthday... I loved her hair
@@monicainmadrid - (Cher was your idol) : )
@@GROOVYJOJO You Bet!!!
Love my Cher. Son and Betty, keeping being fabulous in Heaven.
And Flip Wilson as well
So beautiful Betty White was so talented and a great role model loved 🥰 her very much you will be missed Betty White. 🙏🙌💯🥰
I Loved this show. Great times back then.
They seemed much more relaxed together after they divorced.
RIP Betty.
2022 here .. what a great blast from the past 🙏🏼 loved this
How I miss our Legend Betty White. I adore this actress since 2019 because of the clips I saw from Facebook which is The Golden Girls and I really love them all. So sad, I met this wonderful woman so late. A fan from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Te quiero
Delightful! My, Betty was so versatile and natural, perfectly effortless for her.
These two bring back memories.
And what a great legacy Sonny, who was the brains behind Sonny and Cher”. left behind….left us way too soon.
Cher always had amazing style and her outfits so cool ! Rest in Peace Betty White now you have animals to care for in Heaven! love this blue outfit she has here!!
Omg Cutsie News! What a line-up. I forgot how good these shows were.
He couldn't sing worth a toot. Cher is still sensational!🔥
Betty White is a treasure. ❤
Sunny, yes he could😡!!! I so much enjoyed SONNY’S SINGING and I thought he was CUTE LOOKING and ITALIAN❤❤❤!!!😊
RIP Betty. YOU ere and are the best.! Keeping a straight face during the Doctors skit. So Classic of you.! Your talent is a great loss to the acting and comic community.
Son was a good sport!! Took all the jabs in stride!!
We used to watch this show every week, and Flip Wilson.
Sony and Cher my first concert in the 70s I love them so much I was heart broken when they got divorced. Loved Betty White she was awesome in MTM
Where did you see their concerts?
R.I.P Betty White ✨❤️
Omg at the Sonny and Cher banter in the opening! 😆
This and the Cher show my favorite of all time ✌❤ from Montana
There's absolutely nothing like the 70's Television or Music and never will be again !!
FABULOUS! Thrilling to view..special delight in HD! WOW!😃
Thanks Mark. Have a great new year, lots of happiness, take care.
@@LuvMyCher God Bless You!🥰
This was the best show.. loved it👍✌
Loved them and still love her
Thanks for sharing this! I loved Sonny and Cher, adored Betty White and had crushes on Ken Berry and Lyle Wagner. I was in 8th grade when this aired.
💖💖💖
Sony And Betty Both Were 2 Class Acts Rip Sony And Betty.
Thanks so much for posting this! It brings back so many memories and what a wonderful tribute to Betty and yes, she loved making people smile!
R.I.P Betty White 🙏
Rip betty white
😍Brings back great memories.
Thank you so much, was a great show. Brought back clearly the memories I had 🙏❤️
Thanks BJ, I don't like to post a whole show as it doesn't belong to me so I basically just post individual performances of Cher but Betty was such a delight throughout this whole show that I wanted viewers to see a little of Betty's versitility that was displayed so well on this Sonny & Cher show.
@@LuvMyCher Very nice, loved seeing them all.
Betty was beautiful right up to her passing! We all miss her!
Such great acting by everyone. Great writers and directors.
Betty White never changed. She always looked exactly the same.
Loved this show; loved seeing Cher in TO a few years ago.
I love the ability to be in pain and still be joyous.❤❤❤
Cher is absolutely incredible.
I have seen cher twice and she is great!
betty and cher were awesome! everyone else is, well, as expected
Such a gorgeous lady and funnee❣️💕
They weren’t great singers but I would watch it - Betty White was always fabulous!!!!
Cher can sing. Sonny never could carry a tune.
@@donnalombardo1135 agree they were great together but in my view she's the singer.
@@donnalombardo1135 I still enjoy their early hits especially. Simple lyrics but reflective of the 60s. A great era for pop music.
I remember very well on Sunday nights this show would be my one thing I looked forward to before bed and I couldn't wait to see what Cher was going to have on. She was always gorgeous! Also one of the funniest actors of the time. I miss these days. You couldn't get away with this these days. The pronouns would be all wrong. Anyway, I'm enjoying this and I just realized it's Sunday! Maybe a little under 50 years later but still just as funny and she's still just as beautiful! So was Betty White! I miss knowing she's on this earth. RIP Betty. You're with Alan now.
I forgot that they got a divorce and still did their show
Actually Cher got her own show by 1975
It just was odd after they got a divorce.
My parents always had 7 toes in the divorce pit. Anything around that subject made me shiver.
So glad that's over
RIP Betty White ❤ (And also RIP to the other talented cast members. I recognize many of them but don't know them by name.)
The intro with Sonny & Cher singing "My Cheri Amore" was sad. "Pretty little one that I adore, how I wish that you were mine" they were divorced by this time, but he still felt that way about her. 💔
"The Cutsie News" 😆 reminds me of the Smothers Brothers for some reason. Same era, I suppose. I have no idea HOW I recall any of this, as I was only new borne during the Carter era. I watched re-runs, maybe? Re-runs use to be a big thing, before there were a thousand channels and a million apps.
I am old.. I recognized flip Wilson and Ken berry
I miss the old black & white movies that would run when I was a kid. Now, there are so many old color movies, they'll never run another black & white film again unless it's Halloween and a channel like MeTV runs an old Dracula film.
What a body!! Getting old us REALLY SAD...AND MEAN.. TO BE HONEST!!
Even playing on a Scooby Doo episode she was hilarious 😂
⭐⭐ Sonny & Cher = Pop lCONS 💞Miss you Sonny ❤️
She is a STUNNER!!
Great choice in the message Luv My Cher, that's exactly what Betty would have wanted to be done.
I always loved their fun banter.
this was the 2nd incarnation of their show.the 1st was the Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.by this time they had divorced, but decided to give it one more shot professionally.
Loved this show growing up. I saw Cher in Vancouver a few yrs ago amazing.
Then we had Carol Burnett, Sunday Disney. Does anyone remember the Smothers Brothers?
Timeless MZ BETTY WHITE 💯❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣
