Wow, I visited the "bins" just once and did not seem to find much. Maybe I need to give it another try. You are brave to dig in and not worry about the trashy stuff mixed in. It seems worth it for what you find. I am older but love how you go about your process. Esp. love the home decor and how you style things at the end. Love your home vibes.
The shrunken sweater can easily be fixed with just some water and hair conditioner. I recommend filling a bucket with some lukewarm water, adding a couple pumps of conditioner, mixing until it is incorporated, and soaking the sweater for 15 minutes. Rinse the sweater with water until it is no longer soapy. Make sure never to wring the sweater, I usually just slightly squeeze it. One the sweater is rinsed you can lay it flat on a towel and and stretch it to the measurements you want. There are more in depth videos online but I thought I'd offer a solution. I enjoy thrifting old sweater and fixing them up!

Cute, very casual clothes and perfect for Fall! I don’t know if I have the wrong end of the stick here, but it seems as if we are going even MORE casual this Fall! Fall 2020 was a turn around point from months of social distancing and hanging out in sweats and old T-shirts! While everyone wanted to continue to be comfortable in their clothing-we were ALL so antsy to get back into some cute outfits, as thrift stores reopened! The hauls looked much more “return to work” appropriate with just a couple of nods to comfy clothes we had been living in!! ! This FALL however, everything is even MORE slouchy, oversized, gender-neutral, and downright mannish! Cottage Core seems to have been left in the “dust” of the flowy summer dresses, saturated colors are still popping a bit ever since last spring, but it seems that MEN’S clothing FOR WOMEN, is at the FRONT of fashion-flannel shirts, baggy trousers, big belts, cardigans, and over-sized blazers-are BIGGER THAN EVER! You have a great look with all the pieces you thrifted-they are comfy, cute, and a definite return to the early 70’s PREPPY LOOKS (At least it is what we were wearing in NEW ENGLAND at that time!). Your rugby shirt looks PERFECT on you with the jeans (Chinos would also look good!) and I loved all the other colors you chose as well! (Shacket looked great-a”REAL” men’s shacket for Sear’s-not just a fast fashion copy!! ***By the way, the Joy of Cooking is the best cooking book out there! I hav used mine for decades! The recipes are amazing even though they don’t have much on the current food trends included, such as quinoa, unless it is more updated! You will find lots of recipes for foods from around the world as well! I can give you a few suggestions if you like! Take care, and THANKS for the video!!!!! Can’t wait to see how your new retail space is coming together!
