  • My buddy at work had to replace a brass sewer clean out cap and he gave it to me to melt down.I was going to give this little ingot a mirror shine but decided at the last minute to try something I haven't before. I broke out a ball peen hammer and gave the ingot the business. After a final polish, I think it turned out pretty cool and it looks amazing.
I hope you all enjoy watching this one as much as I did making it...

I hope you all enjoy this episode. I did a simple brass melt of a sewer clean out cap that resulted in a pretty cool ingot. I had planned on shining it to a mirror finish, but in the moment, I decided to try hammering it instead to see how it would look. I wasn’t disappointed and I’m curious to see what you all think. Let me know in the comments and if you want to see me try more of this method with other metals. I love you all and stay awesome my friends!

You interested in teaching someone new to the world? Mesa local, would love to learn some tricks and tips.
Just bought the Devil Forge 10 KG, with the foam. Waiting for the rain to subside some and then thinking about going to do up some brass for my first time.

What I like about your channel is you don’t faff about like the big well known stacker.
I won’t mention the name but you know who I mean.
It is more for girls and weak boys. It is a shame because he could do his videos with great content without the poofy bits like hiding his food, having ASMR in his titles, smashing the ice with all manner of objects etc.
I like it kept down to Earth and your videos are just that.
Great looking bar. Nice finish and worth the 45 minutes of extra work 👍.

The hammered finish is absolutely stunning, I was intrigued with it before the polish, after though had my eyes falling out of my head! Absolutely love it!
I also really liked the tips you left us in the video. I never knew you needed to warm the tools for that reason, but always thought you should for the same one as the cast, moisture! So I've learned something else about this amazing Hobby. Glad you're sharing those tidbits with us.

Hey! How are you? Tell your friend thank you. Melting a myriad of objects is one of the best parts of melting. My fav one was when you went for that walk and found all that trash. I wanted to be nosey and ask if you've ever thought about doing anthill art? That might be an interesting video. If not, that's ok too. 😂 I hope you and your wife had an excellent Valentine's Day!! I hope ❤️was in the air!
P.S. That bar turned out beautifully!!!

Hey Tracy! I am doing good, how are you? Wonderful I hope. I do love melting down different objects I haven’t come across before. I need to go for another run in search of things to melt, and clean up the landscape, that was a favorite of mine also! I have wanted to do an anthill pour, but I don’t really have ants like that. I could go out and find one, but digging it up without a hose and water in a remote location might be a bit of a challenge. I’ll see what I can do though 🙂 Thank you as always, I hope you had a good Valentine’s Day as well! Love is always in the air 😉
      Talk to you soon…

@@TheGrowingStack I wondered if the ants living arrangements might be a problem. I forget that not everyone is so lucky to have a million fire ant nests right in their backyard. But don't worry, if there was a flood out there, they'd make a raft and survive while the rest of us perish! I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe one day the stars will align and it COULD happen and you find an 🐜 nest. Until then, I'll ❤️ watching what other great ideas you come up with! 😂😂😂
