One of the most impressive Floor acrobatics ever is the “operatic” singing near the end. In the studio version with Anette it was performed by a choir, somehow Floor decided to sing the choir part herself, what a power woman👸🤘💪🇳🇱

I would like to put up 'Shoemaker' as another example of Floor reaching for the stars.
Floor said ever dream is the most difficult for her to sing, no surprise. This stuff is a walk in the park
Remember that at this point Floor was still not announced as a permanent member of the band, they waited until after the tour. She had only been touring with them for about 9 months as a temporary solution. That just makes her chemistry with the rest of band even more remarkable. I do think that most people can see that they are a great match.
Nightwish is amazing but Floor is the perfect fit and her versatility is unmatched by anyone
This band is one of a kind, such a powerful sound, and no one is quite like Floor. You can never just passively listen to Nightwish, and it's nearly impossible to sit still when they play. They definitely have all of the hallmarks of heavy metal, but they're so far above typical metal. I have a special soft spot for the drummer, but it's really Floor's vocals that set Nightwish apart. Every time I hear them, I like them more.
I agree! And I really miss Jukka...he was a beast on drums.

I'd love to see a reaction to The Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley. It's not just a performance but an experience. It clocks in at about 14min but honestly it could be 24 and I'd still think it should be longer. When you get to it, please make sure you read the backstory to it and watch with the lyrics. That song changed my appreciation for music, it'd been a long time since something moved me like that did

Awesome reaction! I love all the detail you add to the analysis. Nightwish is a truly magical band. They are the one band that I never get tired of listening to, quite the opposite. I also just love watching Floor perform. She looks so comfortable in her own skin. Absolutely beautiful performance!

Almost mandatory if you want to learn what Floor is capable of. Not much direct comparison with the version you have heard as besides the song the versions have no commonalities, the performer and the band are different.
If I could go back in time, it would be to this concert. What a ride.

"The Greatest Show on Earth" - Tampere 2015 (remember to stay on until the video is completely finished, because the speaking afterwards is an important part of the song.
Both songs are pure masterpieces, incredible compositions enhancing the stories, and created in chapters of course. The poetic lyrics are.... some of Tuomas's greatest works ever - and Floor... no one else can ever match or do these songs justice like her. She combines - everything - all her incredible techniques, adds incredible amounts of emotions and passion....
You judge yourself.
And still - you have only scratched the surface of Nightwish's and Floor's capabilities 😁

the saying is quite used, but its simply true: others sing what they can- Floor sing what she want to.
You should probably give all her Beste Zangers performances a view. They will give you an insight into how she handles various genres.
I think that her first performance is spectacular, she is largely unknown to the other participants, dresses like a stereotypical heavy rocker, and out comes Vilja Lied when she starts to sing.
I always smile watching your reactions to Nightwish I can feel your joy. Another symphonic metal band is Epica they do a song with Floor and their singer Simone called Sancta Terra that you would love

My 10 year old loves this song too, he's singing it all time. I'm glad he changed his mind about Nightwish, first he didn't like the music but after listening to a few more songs he began to feel the music and became a fan of the band and Floor of course.

Very good reaction and analyze. Try Shoemaker from new album(2020). Very good official lyric video. Not very good live version available yet because only two live performance.(only fancam). This song is tribute to American scientist Eugene Shoemaker. This song you also hear more Floors "operatic" voice.
Brilliant reaction! Such great insight, not only to Floor's voice but the music, lyrics and overall performance. I went back to watch your reaction to their Phantom version as well, and I must say kudos to you for taking such care in pronouncing everyone's names. I feel like it's a great sign of respect, but at the same time not an easy thing to do, to try to learn people's names the way they are pronounced in their own language. You do it so well, fantastic job!
We like to refer to Floor's hair spins as a Windmill, since she is Dutch.

Sit down with your SO, a bottle of wine and snacks and watch the entire Wacken concert, it will blow your mind and is well worth the time.
Nightwish is such a great amalgam of talent, charisma, hard work and presentation. Floors' ah! ah! ah! vocals at the beginning of 'Romanticide' have the ominous feel of a backup warning from a mobile ICBM launcher. Many of their songs are hugely evocative and dramatic but 'Storytime' has that Viking-longboat-oar-rowing beat in the middle section that kicks serious ass. Love 'em. Oh and Andy, kudos for all your reactions, good job my friend!
If you like "Walking in the Air," Nightwish performing it with Tarja on vocals is really good, but you also ought to look at Jarkko Ahola's version. He is a terribly underrated singer from Finland.
You should listen to the whole concert. Its amazing! And no one realised floor changed her outfit during the show. In the first half she wears trousers and in the second half she wears a dress. Just compare her during this song and during Ghost Love Score ;)

I love “Storytime”, & right now on a “Song of Myself” kick, highly recommended. If you listened to Tarja do Phantom, take a listen to Floor’s with Henk Porte, on “Beste Zangers 2019”, if you haven’t heard her.
