I’ve spent a lot of time down the tomahawk, went to school in Ely. I’ve only ever seen 3 Great Greys there. This past September I got to see a momma lynx and her 4 kits! I had my camera thank goodness!
I am so jealous of your Lynx family sighting Ellie! Are your Lynx photos online somewhere? I’ve only ever seen 2 Lynx …one was at night off the Gunflint and the other was along the Sawbill (made a RUclips video about that encounter).
@@SparkyStensaas No I don’t have them posted, but I definitely can! I was not planning on seeing anything so the settings on my camera were all messed up
Funny because I just finished a book about the guy who set the North American big year record for a birds seen on a bike. He he made one continuous 6000 mile loop. I biked 5 miles that day!
It’s funny, because I normally don’t use the lens hood in winter since it traps warm air when I get in and out of the van. I don’t treat my equipment very well and in fact, I often use the cupholders in my van to hold lenses. Not good, but that’s how I am.
Yayyy, Sparky is back! Incredible video and sights! Thanks for sharing these shots with us! That Canada Jay and Great Gray were absolutely beautiful!
I enjoy your RUclips videos too!
Great video Sparky! It was nice meeting you on Tuesday at the Bog with the Snowy Owl.
It was likewise nice to meet you William! I’m sure our birding paths will cross again! My next video will include the Snowy.
Wow! Incredible footage and shots. Nice work
Thank you so much, Samuel!
Hi Sparky. You just found so much wildlife. The grey owl was really amazing. The pine forest looks like a great place for birding. Greets Stefan
Thanks Stefan, Always fun to bird a new and remote part of the North Woods!
Good to see you back making videos Sparky! Love the raven impersonations :-) !
Thank you! Not sure the ravens loved it
Nice video, attraction was red fox never seen before, appreciate your skill of making bird sounds
Many thanks! I wish the Fox would’ve come a bit closer, but always fun to see them.
Enjoyed you Sparky, i thought your raven call was good, apparently the ravens thought so too
Ha! They are curious birds so they often check out “ strange sounds”!
Just got home from the Bog and what do I see but a new sparky video!
Ha! Thanks Paul. I hope you had a good trip to Sax-Zim.

Good thing for the hood on that lens or you would have scratched the heck out of it on those branches you raked it thru.
