I finally realize who your father is. He was in many HK kung fu movies back in the 80s and 90s. Liu Kar Liang cast him as a supporting actor in many of his movies...usually as a villain. He worked with many big HK stars like Leslie Cheung, Wong Jing, and Lam Ching Ying. Nice to know that he's still active and even teaching kung fu. I'm sure he probably taught you as well. The Lineage of Charlenes Hun Gar goes back to Wong Fei Hung. Sifu Mark, her father, was the student of the late great Lau Kar Leung, who made many many classic kung fu movies. Lau Kar Leung was taught by his father Lau Cham, who was a student of Lam Sai Wing. (according to Lam Sai Wing, Lau Cham also had some lessons from the Grandmaster Wong himself)
Her dad is Hong Kong movie legend! I used to read about his stuff in the uk in martial arts magazines Mai and used to buy HK movie magazines back in the 90s….

Most traditional Kung Fu styles focus too much on forms. Modern fighting is more about agility and footwork. If you don't want to be taken down by a BJJ guy, you need to be as agile as a wrestler. Humans have evolved very quickly in the past hundred years and have become physically much stronger with much faster speed.
