I really like this drawing. On a dumb note: when I saw the initial sketching I was worried that Karina's Sonic saga wasn't going to be referenced in the drawing.
Always impressed with how you draw backgrounds! The bird being banished to the Box of Fore-shortening gave me a chuckle - and it turned out so well! Glad you got to do a more chill one this time :)
I loved this video, Nathan. These illustrations are gorgeous. You really captured the world of Sonic and the Drawfee crew's creations. I'm pretty sure the first video game I ever played was a Sonic game, I think for the Sega Genesis. I used to watch the cartoon and the read some of the comic books. I fell out of the fandom many years ago, but this brought back such good memories.
In Sonic Unleashed HD they put a Sonic 06 reference in a newspaper that an NPC is reading just like the Sonic butthole saga ref here in the piece. It's just a coincidence that is inconsequential, but it struck a chord with me.
