A game cannot have too big area like city, because lore accurate Fontaine is alot bigger than what we explored if you look at Arlecchino weekly bg,so city having less people is expected.
The giant storm cloud is part of the cultural heritage of Inazuma. Getting rid of it would degrade the value of all surrounding properties, and probably land everyone involved in a lot of legal trouble. And considering "legal trouble" means "Raiden kills you", I'd advise against that.
I love accurate the last part is because almost all the inazuman characters voiced lines about when lightning strikes is basically just “oop there goes Raiden killing again.”
Actually, I just got a report mentioning that the residents in the Jakotsu Mine neighbourhood had to relocate to.... *checks notes*..... These videos are so oddly specific, I love them. As someone who knows nothing about real life safety standards or environment design in games, I never think twice about the roads and houses in Genshin, but this is extremely entertaining. Keep up the great work!
12:22 That's surprising because, Masanori, the owner of that house, died in battle many years ago. And his only friend is an insane ronin living in the wilderness.
You know it's so funny what they're doing to inazuma ( or not doing rather) It's been three years since the war and you'd assume that the island that got abandoned only because of the war would slowly start getting rebuilt And now that raiden ei has finally woken up and we took care of the tatarigami, that other island would start being renovated again And you know the whole plot line of no new electro visions ? Yeah I thought that would lead up to us finding the first new electro visions wielder and they'd be a prodigy and it would signify a whole new era for the electro archon But nope, the only thing that changed is someone came up with dongo milk aka boba
I love this sort of one-off, silly type of video because they're just a joy to watch. I think having more videos on other aspects of Teyvat and it's worldbuilding (for example : the wildlife or animals and how they're used) would be very entertaining. Open world logic, much like how skyrim's grand cities are more akin to hamlets in scale, it can't depict how the real scale would look like without dedicating itself to that city
in Konda village, during the quest to open the well, a resident says that a cart got raided at night and later you kill the hilichurls. Combined with the fact that there are no sogunate samurai near or in the village means that its actually not well defended at all. Also the travaler is the one that opens the well. The village chief really wanted it to stay closed and discrete, so you can't blame them for that. For both Jakotsu mine and Andhigi village, the island is in permanent thunderstorm for the past few years since the war broke out until recently th travaler repaired the shrines. This means that if the shrines ever get damaged again, another perpetual thunderstrom will form. Also the island was a battleground for the war. The upside is that there is a mine, and the only residance, that one child who's name I forgot and asks for 36 crystal marrow, said that everyone left for Inazuma City, so you can collect taxes from them there. The basement in Koseki village has about 2 planks of wood thick to support an entire house, and has been there for years. this makes it a huge risk of collapse. during the quest, an adventurer finds a photo left behind by her ancestors. She likely has rights to the house if they never sold it off and just passed it to the next generation. in Bourou Village, kokomi is struggling to reconstruct the island during peacetime. She is writting new laws during her quest, one of which is that hoarding items is illegal. There is also high tension with Inazuma City. Things do be getting better as Miko and Raiden both showed up peacefully during the recent event. the random shack is owned by Masanori (technically his name is Kenji Kazumichi, but he forgot that and he took his friend's name). there is just a massive katana just lying there until you pick it up so, safety hazard. Was there a reason you left out Inazuma city and Ritou? i know its super safe from monsters, but both are not perfect. A recent vision hunt decree affected Inazuma City the most, as that's where they enforced it the most. there is also gang activity who's ringleader is a massive, strong oni that goes around harassing people (climbing roofs, bothering locals, hosting unapproved festivals, etc). One house has a secret tunnel to trade with fatui/local bandits (i don't remember which one). There is an underground illegal market presence as well. In Ritou, the local businesses charge absorbent costs just to syphon the money out of merchants who got stuck there. The merchant guild is discriminated against, and no non-native Inazumin are not allowed to leave. this was a blast to watch, please do more!
So, this is one of the best Genshin Impact Channels i ever seen, makes me remember to "Hablemos de Genshin" Spanish Channel that haves the same Aranara photo... Cooool!! Saludos de Argentina
I always assumed with the 1:60 distance ratio, for every 1 house in a town there were 59 others we couldn't see. Of course excluding houses that are alone in the wilderness like fishing shacks
It's kinda crazy how dangerous rogues constantly camp outside the village, but the neighbourhood still meets the safety standards. LMAO Teyvat really has its own laws.
I have to disagree with you on that beach house there. I think the house is doing great and fishing is totally not inferior to agriculture lifestyle. The fort, in my humble opinion, is a plus. You cant find better police service in pre-modern era. Any produce or fish you have, can be sold directly to them without the hassle of going to towns. No battle (pre-modern war) takes place by total surprise, which mean you can always run away before major battle was fought and then come back, salvaging the ship wreck. The military might even pay you to do it. Anyway, nice video.
yk i love genshin's battles and lore but i really like your channel cause it's like the enviorenment and i think that's a plus (like this "how long does it take u to go from x to y" videos)
Good to see you back! our safety aranara! Im surprised the amount of abandoned houses in inazuma, even tho they have their charm 8:00 for your surprise, that home were used by a single kid which we help in a quest, after which it ends he leaves from there
2:30 that bridge in front of the konda village chief's house is definitely a safety violation, that dog or a small child could easily fall into the water below and would need rope to rescue. There's already fence along the edges of the stream so they could absolutely add handrails to this bridge. It's current absence is likely for aesthetic reasons, but as you know inspector, safety always comes first.
Inazuma City seems nice, but if you look under it, it's just a matter of time before the Riden Shogun's castle falls into the water. Ei's worried about the wrong Erosion.
Oooo the jakotsu mine houses, I know where the people are their is actually a world quest tied their. Their is a little kid who asks for crystals, then after giving him a bunch over time he shows you his house witch is there. turns out his parents were not doing so hot and went to find a better place to live, but haven’t returned and it’s heavily implied they died. In the end you see the boy off, and he either never returns or lives in the home.
For videos, you should bring Kaveh from Sumeru, because he's an architect! And his best work is a mansion in Sumeru belonging to Dori. The (former) Fatui base is obviously abandoned property. There's a lot of these in Inazuma given that it was on a war economy / footing, nevermind the natural disasters that occured on the western islands and Seirai. One of the best ways to show the effects of it is an unreclaimed large property area with a very good scenic view thats in the middle of *the safest place in the region* outside of Saganomiya Island... IIRC that particular house is part of Kazuha's quest, meaning its owners were dishonored and probably won't be returning anytime soon. You find lore in the most unlikely of places...
These videos are really making me question if Teyvat is a place where anyone could feasibly live. What makes this funnier is that there are more NPC's walking around than there are houses for them.
I think Teyvat is compressed for gameplay purposes, and it's actually supposed to be much bigger. Otherwise, we have the usual RPG-world problems like having more bandits than honest people.
@@kotarouinugami1745It is. The second Chasm quest mentions several times that the Liyue military established a defensive line 60 miles east of the Chasm when Abyssal monsters invaded during the Cataclysm, which is distance several times larger than the whole map. Shell house is best one cause most of the materials were free, while living there you need fishing gor survival and as we learned before, fishing is the best thing in Teyvat
You should do Agriculture and food production next. That's bugged me ever since I noticed that by all appearances, the only farming community in Mondstadt is a vinyard.
2:56 do have to mention that actually this well DOES have a cover on it, but in a quest, the traveler removes it to go inside. So that safety issue is kinda our fault.
Speaking of land in Inazuma, I wonder if they also practice fuedalism there. I cannot picture though the Kamisato family of being big landlords, maybe they have done agrarian reform a long time ago.
I would be desperately interested in seeing you review all of the houses in the other nations as well, as this type of video really tickles my brain and makes me laugh. Keep up the good work!
Hii!! I just wanna point out that the random shack in the video belonged to Masanori (he tells us he has memories from children in the house, and sends us to fetch a sword near there). He was a shogunate samurai and then (and now) a Kairagi, so... The part about living near a battlefield and bandits was no concern to him
I love this kind of style of content, it feels so chill and slow pace I also think the idea is funny. please make more content like this you are amazing :D
I really love your little Teyvat inspections series of videos, they are very fun to watch and make me notice details about the game i hadn't noticed in all that much detail before! Like the roads of Teyvat making no sense or there being way too little safe housing around the world.
There are not-so-many places inhabited, because genshin is kinda a post-apo. So yeah, civilizations were destroyed and most of the alive people decided to live near each other. Something similar happened in ancient egypt.
2:50 Did you know that the well was supposed to have a lid over it for safety until you came and decide to open it and never close it again for an electro oculus?
I’m a massive geography nerd and the way genshin deals with things like housing, the arrangement of their cities, cultures, language in the game as well as the landscape gets me soo irritated 😭
I love your videos so far! It’s such a refreshing difference from most other genshin content nowadays. Looking forward to what you have for us in the future! Can’t wait for the next housing inspection 😁😁 (on another note, do you have a discord server? If you don’t, it might be not a bad idea, I’d love to join and see what shenanigans this community can produce)
pls do a video on tourism in teyvat 🙏🙏 recently ive been wondering whats the best place for a vacation in teyvat. upon spiraling down that rabbit hole, i came to a realization that beach tourism is kinda not a thing,,, cuz there are so little beaches in teyvat and most of them have dangerous monsters and individuals lurking around 💀💀
loved this vid! all your videos are so fun i love exploring random stuff in the map that most ppl dont give too much attention to, so your channel has been a very pleasant surprise to discover! please do one about the scattered houses in fontaine, i think their design are the cutest in the whole game!! cant wait for more vids ❤❤❤
the village chief house have 2 house because in old or maybe still now in Japan they have each house for each purpose like one for cooking and storage so that house in 2:33 is basically normal
This is so fun, excited to see the review of the other nations (Also I'm interested in what you think about the ankle murdering road up to the Akademiya)
I can just imagine the Kamisato estate overjoyed in helping the Traveler to... uh, bring the houses up to standard. Meanwhile, the other two are drowning in paperworks.

The part about living near a battlefield and bandits was no concern to him
oh yeah, forgot to mention, the children he has memories of is him and a friend, iirc
I love these kinds of videos so much. keep up the good work!
I love this kind of style of content, it feels so chill and slow pace I also think the idea is funny. please make more content like this you are amazing :D
Ever since the guy doing unemployment quotas of video game towns, this has become my favorite type of youtube content.
roads and now houses? I am already loving this :D
2:50 The well in Konda Village had a locked cover until the Traveller insisted on opening it.
This is a great video! You can also go into analyzing the economic breakdown of each region
My dream home in genshin has to be qingce village tbh. It’s gorgeous and has great community values as seen in beidous hangout event !
I saw a house in liyue that was impossible to get into because it was built over a giant rock.
Itleast if it falls down it wont hurt anyone...
I really love your little Teyvat inspections series of videos, they are very fun to watch and make me notice details about the game i hadn't noticed in all that much detail before! Like the roads of Teyvat making no sense or there being way too little safe housing around the world.
8:35 No mention about that fireplace on the wooden porch?
There are not-so-many places inhabited, because genshin is kinda a post-apo. So yeah, civilizations were destroyed and most of the alive people decided to live near each other. Something similar happened in ancient egypt.
2:50 Did you know that the well was supposed to have a lid over it for safety until you came and decide to open it and never close it again for an electro oculus?
I’m a massive geography nerd and the way genshin deals with things like housing, the arrangement of their cities, cultures, language in the game as well as the landscape gets me soo irritated 😭
There was something really funny about you just ignoring the Samurai trying to attack while you were walking through the village
This is peak content!! Can't wait for another region!!
My favorite teyvat public health and safety inspector at it again💪🔥
I was INVOLVED from the start, I love this type of content, thank you!!!!!
i love your videos so much, there so relaxing to listen too
pls do a video on tourism in teyvat 🙏🙏
recently ive been wondering whats the best place for a vacation in teyvat. upon spiraling down that rabbit hole, i came to a realization that beach tourism is kinda not a thing,,, cuz there are so little beaches in teyvat and most of them have dangerous monsters and individuals lurking around 💀💀
@@Tembies wow i found it
the comment
As an engineering student myself this is the type of content I love for!!
loved this vid! all your videos are so fun i love exploring random stuff in the map that most ppl dont give too much attention to, so your channel has been a very pleasant surprise to discover! please do one about the scattered houses in fontaine, i think their design are the cutest in the whole game!! cant wait for more vids ❤❤❤
your videos are so chill yet entertaining! please keep making content!
"I don't know how I feel having a bunch of rouge samurai camping out near my house" Better than a hilichurl camp 🤣
the village chief house have 2 house because in old or maybe still now in Japan they have each house for each purpose like one for cooking and storage so that house in 2:33 is basically normal
3:28 to be fair, WE were the one to open that well. Before that, it’s been locked
So we made the village more dangerous 🤣
Yes, i like the random content, it cool to watch
Please do the other nations 🙏 Sumeru’s got some houses that require questioning, that’s for sure
also in higi village and jakotsu mine houses
until the traveler came, these places were in constant stormy weather
like how hilichurls; in which are actually Khanreiahns, are treated like locals.
I LOVE this lmao, a welcome follow up to inspecting how realistic the roads are
You should’ve done Fontaine plss do a part two too test how rich and nice the houses are!
This video randomly appeared in my recommended, I’m glad I watched it though very entertaining 10/10 video
now THIS is my kind of genshin content
Resinless behavior?
No. It's called having an actual job in genshin, being a certified house safety inspector.
This is so fun, excited to see the review of the other nations
(Also I'm interested in what you think about the ankle murdering road up to the Akademiya)
I can just imagine the Kamisato estate overjoyed in helping the Traveler to... uh, bring the houses up to standard. Meanwhile, the other two are drowning in paperworks.
for some reason I like ur accent sm, it's such an amazing match with ur voice!!
You should make a video trying to find the food sources of what people in each area would eat from.
Oh boy... the instant you said you were carrying out the inspection in *Inazuma* of all places, I gained a pretty good idea of where this was going 💀
This has to be the most creative genshin content ive ever seen
Your content is the best!
Your questions and analysis are the best, it really intrigues me!
keep up with the content
The well in konda village is actually closed up , it only gets opened up when u do the savred sakura cleansing ritual quest line
