If the female singers in the Philippines were judged strictly by their singing abilities Charice would be one of the greatest ever, along with other talented vocalists such as Regine, Jona, Morissette, Sarah G, Katrina, etc. The list goes on and on. Because they're deemed far more marketable due to the marketing and promotional juggernaut that is in the US and the West, they produced such megastars like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, who wouldn't stand an atom of a chance against these Filipino singers in a true singing contest.
