Never had the slightest intention to subscribe to Wish channel. And not even once did I care to leave a comment about other singers who came onboard Wish. Only this magnanimous lady. rommel santos i disgree to this. Im also a fan of Regine but comparing the number of audience of other artists, parang mejo unfair din. Her wish bus performance was announced to social media, time and place. So everyone near that area will flock to see her performance. Unlike others, gulat ka na lang may bagong video na Yung wish then makikita mo sa background, umaandar ung BUS, nasa gilid ng highway, etc and di ka talaga magkaka-audience nun. Tsaka nakilala na yung WishFM e. So I guess, give thanks to those artists na nagpasikat sa Wish, the likes of Darren Espanto and Morissette Amon, who became internationally known by youtube reactors. :) Well, they are all great artists and they deserve this.

In the past, never akong nabilib kay Regine. Yes I know her songs, and I know na Asia's Songbird ang bansag sa kanya, pero hindi ko gets kung bakit. Para sakin, ang dami-daming magagaling na OPM singers, bakit sya yung may distinction na ganun? But two years ago that changed. First time ko syang narinig live nung kumanta sya sa Xmas party namin sa GMA, and I was... blown away. Suddenly everything made sense--bakit sya ang Songbird, bakit ang dami niyang fans, bakit sikat sya abroad. Sobrang life-changing moment yun for me to hear her sing live. Pinakinggan ko lahat ng albums niya, watched her performances online... in short, naging fan ako. :)

Way back 1990s, one Sat morning I saw her standing ALONE along Roxas Blvd. She's relatively new but gaining much popularity already at that time. And I couldn't believe that's Regine, as she's very low profile - no staff around, just standing there all by herself. And I think she could tell that I was confused. Then, she gave me that sweet, genuine smile when I walked way - answering my question in mind. She's a lovely person, happy to see that Regine remains the same grounded person.

And her best live performances should be preserved in some national museum or something for future generations. An amazing talent like this comes once in a lifetime. I was in denial when I was young because international singers like Mariah, Celine and Whitney were super mainstream so I was like joining the bandwagon. But deep inside, I have realized that every fiber of my body lives for Regine.
