Always fun to fly into Frankfurt and, while occasionally challenging, acceptable to depart. Plus, the people there speak German.
Access by public transport is NOT just the people mover. They are building a new railway station for suburban (S-Bahn) and regional trains.
Unfortunately not. Or not in the near future.
Preparations are done but so far no committed plans.
As long as It Isnt a berliner then...
(I have little love for brandenburg airport after the delays)
There are also plans for a direct train connection to the new terminal, but unfortunately those weren’t ready in time. So they’ll have to dig up the area again soon after completion.
A new terminal on the opposite side of the airport’s main terminal is a bad choice. They should have moved the freight terminal and fuel depots to the other side and lengthened the current terminal. I personally find it always a drag to get a transfer to another terminal, by bus, metro or people mover.
I'm sure they considered your expert idea and discarded it for various practical reasons.
The existing Frankfurt airport is a mess, very hard to wayfind, maybe a new terminal will be better😂

There will be a another Regional Train Station in Terminal 3 to the Train Lines RE70 and S7

?? Of course Berlin has an airport like this in Munich.
Its because of the 2nd world war and the occupation zones. Berlin was divided into Est- and Westpart. So there wasn’t the opportunity, that there can develop an bug hub like in frankfurt. Furthermore Istanbul Frankfurt in the center of germany, so the connection are much better than in berlin.
I no longer fly. An eco disaster.
One of my least favorite airports.
10 minutes to Downtown. No other main Airport is as close to the cit than Frankfurt. This is my number one.
actually I like it pretty much, better than airports like JFK or Hamburg

The airport Germany is building for 2 decades now… even the name cant be remembered. You know which airport i mean!
@@oguzhan9424 You meant the airport in Berlin, but it's long since finished. It actually took forever to finish, but Berlin had two other airports in operation at the time.-
But Frankfurt Airport will only get a capacity expansion and will then be able to handle 100 million passengers and even more cargo. Here the expansion is in the time frame as planned.
