We just caught two 24 pounders and a 31 pounder on J Plugs out of 4 Rivers. Right on the Mud line coming from the flowing Creeks. Great Vlog Friend.

i like to put a split ring on the bead chain, hook on with swivel just like an ace hi. the chances your getting your plug back is pretty much zero anyways.

I always thought that J plugs required a pretty high troll speed that doesn’t really match up with the other flashers and lures??? How fast are you pulling the J plug???

The great thing about jplugs is that they’re very speed tolerant! Don’t be scared to go slow with them. That last slow and wide wobble can really trigger those neutral/negative Kings.

Don’t see the harm in sharing some info to help folks out. Ultimately it’s still on that person to implement it all properly to actually catch fish. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Hey bud, if that’s how you run your stuff and it works…God Bless. Doesn’t sound like anything how folks in my area fish it. Maybe you fish for Salmon out in the west coast or something and do stuff differently idk. That said, I know what I’m talking about and it’s highly effective. So I’ll continue to offer it as advice for folks to try out ✌🏽

Ive seen salmon shoot up or down 30 -40 fr to hit a lure or avoid it. In the end it prolly doesnt matter if its above or below but in the area
