Absolutely fantastic video!!! You just saved me about £2500-£3500 for a new boiler! Followed exactly what you was teaching your student and all the flickering temperature from 50 to 74 and back to 50s from the old PCB and intermittent hot water then to only cold water (unless reset - but that only gives 5mins of hot water then back to only cold) - changed the PCB board via your video instructions and like magic - boiler stabilised at a constant temperature on the display, and importantly hot water stayed on and constant!!! Success as you said👍👍👍 Many thanks!!!

Does the new replacement PCB need setting up at all? I’ve read it could result in a F70 code which means it needs associating with the particular boiler model it’s installed into?
Great video :) we have the same problem on our ecoTec pro 28, had f61 in the past but now seems to settle on f62, we can clear the code an resume normal operation but we also see temp fluctuations on the display (actual water temp is fine). Everything points to PCB as you video suggests, but as we don’t know the age of the boiler we are debating just getting a whole new unit (maybe different brand). Would your advice be to invest in a new boiler or just replace PCB? If PCB what’s would be a fair price for parts and instillation? Thanks for your video an time :)
We have replaced many pcbs on your type boiler and it should run for many years. We would charge 150 labour plus 187.00 for pcb plus vat. The pcb covered for 12 months. What area are you in?
@@ARBoilers Got exactly the same problem (F61, with temperature jumping around when you reset) thanks for your clear video. Been told it's either the PCB OR a faulty gas valve, and that these boilers (we have the Vaillant ecoTEC plus 837 now 12 years old) have built in obsolescence, so we might as well replace the whole boiler. Not sure if this isn't upselling, but out of interest, once the pcb is replaced is the boiler good to go for a couple more years as long as regularly serviced?
Mate i have same issue f.61 code but, its intermittent, i powered off and reignited boiler and it works fine but i may get this code again after couple of weeks so what is the issue?

Very Educational 😊
Really helpful. Thanks
How long does the boiler fire for up for in heating mode ?
For good part did not see the mains cable stuck underneath the mother board.
Boiler radiators won't go hot I've tried everything it's a valient eco
What about the pressure?
Hi I have a reading of 62 ohms? Does this mean the gas valve needs replacing? Or is it still a PCB issue?

99% of the time you don't need to set anything up. Also could you subscribe to our channel

Do we not have to put any code into after replacment??
I just kept my finger on the reset button for few seconds and code went away and works fine now.???
Ok that's great 👍
@@ARBoilers it's done it before could it be a faulty sensor?
@@infiniteloopslawson5301 it's normally a gas valve or PCB fault

So you make sure the knobs hot water and heating are on full a on the pcb ?
Yeah 👍 Also can you subscribe to our channel 🙏
How to measure inlet working pressure at appliance in this boiler? Is it by taking the side panel out???
No you need a small ratchet tool to get in gas valve inlet test point and you will need to remove the air pipe
