The Nadelhorn is rated WS (wenig schwierig), which translates to "of little difficulty", the second easiest grade after L (leicht, "easy"). The normal route is however already quite steep and the summit rocky, which sets the Nadelhorn apart from the easiest 4000ers in the Swiss Alps, like the Breithorn, Bishorn or Allalinhorn, which are all rated L.
