oh and the case u linked looks pretty nice! my only concern is the folio design and whether the flap would be "in the way", though ive havent had a chance to try those yet!
biggest thing i like that it s smaller making it more convinant to use (from carrying it around to typing). the original ipad is great especially since it has the retina display but i def llike this size more. and yeah this color combo is my favourite of the three (black, and pink)
Great review. I have the Defender on my iPhone 5 and I am hoping to get an iPad Mini Retina in a few weeks along with a defender case. Thanks for the review.
not necessarly, the case does add bulk to the ipad mini but the benefits it offers def outways the negatives. it giveu full protection for the entire ipad. it looks massive in the video but in real life it doesnt add to much weight to it and its still lighter then the original ipad without anything on. i find it also makes it much more easier to handle, especially when holding it wit one hand. but of course, everyones insights and preferences are different! thanks for wathcing!
uh yes it was a review as the install was part of it. dunno how the entier vid was an install video. u must be tearing it on and off for it to sag or whatever u claim cause mine still perfectly fits. its a good case and i def still recomend it
I have a black iPad mini I love it and my mother surprised me yesterday with one of these and after seeing this I want that color o have the black one I which I'm really happy with
Great vid i just got my first iPad yesterday and that case looks like its tuff but it's so bulky .. I know you said there is no screen distortion but in the video I saw a rainbow effect . Can anybody tell me if that is just the video
the cover never gets used. unlike a phone you don't put it in your pocket and take it out constantly and what makes this better than its' cheaper counterparts? compare it to griffin or armour or something.
the glacier is also my favorite. i have one for my iphone, ipad 4, ipod, and i would have one for my mini but i can't find one!! am i missing something? i mean i see the "Crevasse" model which is similar but it's not "Glacier"...pitiful to say, but it makes me just a wee bit sad :(
This wasnt a review, this was more of a how to install video. I would like to adress some issues with this case. Ive had mine for 4-6 months now, and the silicone is loosening up A LOT around the edges, so it falls off. I have replaced my twice, my second replacement is on its way now. So irritating. Just see this as a heads up for what might come, and i have been really gentle with my case too btw.
If you cant read ill repeat myself, I've been GENTLE with it. Its good protection for the ipad, but bad silicone, even otterbox themselfs apologised for this common problem in the costumer service mail, so its a normal thing for these cases to loosen up around
The lid... don't leave home without it. If you have had the iPad mini fly out of your bag and smash the screen when the bus went too fast around the corner, you would realise how important it is. I love the cover, and the whole defender for my mini.
Does the bottom of the case fit the apple adaptor from the 30 pin to lightning ? Cause I was thinking about getting the griffin survivor but realised it doesn't fit in
Thank you, that was a very helpful and well done video. A suggestion for your next video... PLEASE don't say "of course" so much. It got to be pretty distracting. Thanks again though for a very helpful video.
well if it has an impact on your life then sorry but some of my vids are edited which is more professional and nicer looking having different tranisitons for every clip would not look good
18 likes and over 1000 views, i think alot of people prefer the edited type videos. more popular youtubers like detroitborg and tldtoday who review this kind of stuff always edit.
I didn't say I didn't like editing, at all. I'm just saying you could'a cooled down on the transitions, because you did them way too often. You even cut yourself off multiple times. -_-
Otterbox has an ipad mini retina version which is IDENTICAL to this , only difference is theirs a hole in the back for the secondary mic. and the title says ipadmin/ipad mini retina plus u should read the date when it was made
I had issues fitting the new iPad Mini Retina in the old otter box case, seems the new mini is slightly larger. Guess you can JAM it in there anyway, but mine didn't fit.
it doesnt bubble, its a clear screen shield so the screen isnt effected and you dont lose sensitivity from normal use
hope this hellps
oh and the case u linked looks pretty nice! my only concern is the folio design and whether the flap would be "in the way", though ive havent had a chance to try those yet!
I'm getting one soon. I am very excited to be able to carry my ipad mini around without it getting dented or scratched. Thank you for the review!
good review, was wondering how the plastic screen cover is holding up? ie it showing scratches?
biggest thing i like that it s smaller making it more convinant to use (from carrying it around to typing). the original ipad is great especially since it has the retina display but i def llike this size more. and yeah this color combo is my favourite of the three (black, and pink)
your covering the screen with a screen shield so it will protect it from scratches when u use it. i dont understand how it would scratch the screen?
Just got this case! It's great. The screen saver is making a couple of marks on the screen though. What should I do to get rid of them?
I do like the screen protector included on the case itself which is pretty good but is there a gap in between the screen and the protector?
Great review. I have the Defender on my iPhone 5 and I am hoping to get an iPad Mini Retina in a few weeks along with a defender case. Thanks for the review.
yes its a big case but its not as bulky as it appears in the video. def well worth it for the protection and its nicely designed.
its a hybrid silicone and palstic case. silicone is is the best material for absorbing drops.
not necessarly, the case does add bulk to the ipad mini but the benefits it offers def outways the negatives. it giveu full protection for the entire ipad. it looks massive in the video but in real life it doesnt add to much weight to it and its still lighter then the original ipad without anything on. i find it also makes it much more easier to handle, especially when holding it wit one hand. but of course, everyones insights and preferences are different! thanks for wathcing!
I just got the otterbox commuter series what a awesome case!
uh yes it was a review as the install was part of it. dunno how the entier vid was an install video.
u must be tearing it on and off for it to sag or whatever u claim cause mine still perfectly fits.
its a good case and i def still recomend it
its fairly scratch resistant, just clean the screen once and a while to remove debris and stuff and u should be good!
Should I get the Otterbox defender for the ipad mini or the Griffin Survivor case?
whats wrong with using a motorola razr?
I have a black iPad mini I love it and my mother surprised me yesterday with one of these and after seeing this I want that color o have the black one I which I'm really happy with
Fantastic review, what a great guy!
Great vid i just got my first iPad yesterday and that case looks like its tuff but it's so bulky .. I know you said there is no screen distortion but in the video I saw a rainbow effect . Can anybody tell me if that is just the video
yes theirs no screen distortion when you turn ON the screen. i dont think a bit of rainbow effect when the screen is OFF is going to ruin your day LOL
Lol yeah thanks man !
It doesn't affect the screen display?
getting an ipad mini next weekend, and a otter box
I'm getting one on the 27th of may, can't wait, dropped my ipad mini once, now I have a chip on the corner of ,y iPad mini
Is there anyway you can take off the screen protector? Not the gray thing, but the clear display protector thing
thanks! hope the vid helped!
Yes. Please give us a FULL in DEATH review. Thank you.
absolutely
You got any updated videos for 2018 to 2019.
the pink camo otterbox for the iphone 5 didnt have a cutout
where did u get your wallpaper?
hope this will not heat up my ipad
The front screen lid can go on the back but with it on the back can you access the headphone and charger port?
Great review nice video :)

Great review, thanks :)

Thank you for answering the question
I wanna get one but I dunno what colour

We're did u get gray.
how do you get otterbox to send you cases to review.
If you cant read ill repeat myself, I've been GENTLE with it. Its good protection for the ipad, but bad silicone, even otterbox themselfs apologised for this common problem in the costumer service mail, so its a normal thing for these cases to loosen up around

Great video : )
Isn't there supposed to be a cutout for the microphone?
otterbox has a retina version and a nonretina version which doesnt havea cutout for the mic
Does the bottom of the case fit the apple adaptor from the 30 pin to lightning ? Cause I was thinking about getting the griffin survivor but realised it doesn't fit in
What else is it that "we do have on this case"?
Wow dose that work foots
does walmart and radio shack sell it?
RadioShack sells this
Does the iPad mini retina case have the grips?
the entire back is silicone with a matte finish. if u keep watching the video i eventually show the back
This guy has my iPad mini case
I have a pink one and I love it
Thank you, that was a very helpful and well done video. A suggestion for your next video... PLEASE don't say "of course" so much. It got to be pretty distracting. Thanks again though for a very helpful video.
You make good videos but I am worried about while you,re putting the screen protecter I think you will get a scratch on your I pad
thats actually good, then u can see different views / opinions on a product before you spend money on it
your the only person that has said that
yes
well if it has an impact on your life then sorry but some of my vids are edited which is more professional and nicer looking
having different tranisitons for every clip would not look good
I want this case for ipad 2 :( but getting it for iphone 5
Zoom out and increase your f/stop. At any giving time only 20% of your frame is in focused and not blurred
the intro music was from imovie lol
How do u put the apple signs on the text??

LOL

thanks! feel free to subscribe for more future vids! :)
Yeah, honestly I would. It's only 4 minutes more.
cool beans
defender, sleeker deseign
"we do have..."
Ugh. Why so much emphasis on the "do"?
ok thanks
Wow old cases and old iOS software..... watched these in high school
Nice
haha. No hard feelings. Just something I noticed.
so you would rather have a 10+ minute unedited vvideo? lol
nah man edits are better and more formative
??
Oops bit of a mistak there thanks
The amount of tech reviews is too damn high
Also you kinda sound like deadlox
Y ppl so mean in the comments tho😂😂😂 chill
I didn't say I didn't like editing, at all. I'm just saying you could'a cooled down on the transitions, because you did them way too often. You even cut yourself off multiple times. -_-
@op, great review!
@chance,dude ur channel has 0 views and 0 subscribers, why would they send u anything? LOLOLOL
You mad bro?
You don't have an iPad mini Retina case... You have the old iPad Mini and mini case.
Otterbox has an ipad mini retina version which is IDENTICAL to this , only difference is theirs a hole in the back for the secondary mic. and the title says ipadmin/ipad mini retina plus u should read the date when it was made
This case fits on both the new and old iPad mini's although they do make one for the new iPad mini retina as well.
I had issues fitting the new iPad Mini Retina in the old otter box case, seems the new mini is slightly larger. Guess you can JAM it in there anyway, but mine didn't fit.
They make a new version of this case for the new iPad mini with retina.
well okay then.
Defeats the purpose of purchasing Ipad Mini. Looks and feels like a brick.
but remember kids, dont ever use a random razor.
Well you didn't have to use the same transition over and over again, it was repetitive and considerably annoying.
