This video is so enjoyable! The timelapse of Brad working with those camera setups to follow him around was so interesting to watch. I love watching skilled folks building amazing stuff with multi angle timelapse!!
We are a Type 3 family as we own, Squareback, Fastback and Notchback and I really enjoy this "wedding" between german VW Type 3 and US V8 and chassis crazy stuffs! Happy to see that the builder wants to keep it stock appearance for this Pro Street project. Can't wait to see the finished product...it can be a funny candidate for a "Drag and drive" car too!
I was always of the opinion if your building a wheel well make it bigger them you think you need that way if later on you need to switch to a larger or wider tire for traction you have the option . if you only make it to fit your ideal tire you end up with getting locked to that tire size unless you hack in to the now finished project for a larger wheel well
"Hard work is overrated!" BULL SH!T. Legend! Appreciate the mountain of time to do the work, plus the extra to film it, so we can come along on the journey. cheers
it passed Awesome and kept accelerating. Love the concept and the execution. Gotta love a detail man! You know, with another seat in it and a tow hitch it would make a killer drag and driver! I live in Texas, so I'd figure AC with a cutout built into my ECU, but not change aonther thing! Rich, I'm down for anybody you know that will put up with the YT hoopla. Keep it coming !
As a kid my folks had a red Type 3 Squareback. The hatch aquired a bent hinge, so sometimes it would open at speed..like on the highway.. with kids in the back. Then we got a yellow one, that had EFI... We crammed two parents and 6 kids in there. When we were small enough, 2 or 3 could sit on the engine cover. No seatbelts tho..but we didn't go everywhere, like nowadays. I like the build. The dash was pretty cool too. 3 pods.. 👍
Nice ! Way too cool . If this car has a caved in driver door that was pushed back out it could be the one I drove in the early 1970's . Can't wait to see it done , great work man . thx for sharing .
Fantastic work, following him on Insta as well. Really cool, genuine guy I can`t wait to see this thing when its done... They`ve all collapsed in a heap of salt caused rust in the UK...
Customize the heck out of that body, since it's all that's left of the VW. Of course, there's always the cool factor of having an ugly, stock looking VW drive like it will. I just rebuilt my old Trooper, just as ugly, but want to upgrade it to a 3800 and 4L60. Maybe someday...
Appreciate the update video on this thing! Its super cool and a well-planned build with a chassis that you NEVER see. It'll definitely be turning some heads just from the sound I'm sure! People will definitely be wondering where the sound of a boosted/ built V8 is coming from. Nice job with modifying those truck headers. The 3" collector is definitely a must, especially with F.I. where the less backpressure/ the more unrestricted flow the better! V-bands not only make a ton more clearance, but they eliminate screwing around with gaskets that leak, and one of the biggest benefits of not having to deal with heat cycled fasteners on that flange. By itself that's a massive win. Thanks again for sharing and I can't wait to see the next video! 👍👍😎
as i was looking at this huge transmission, i was wondering if a corvette style torquetube and transaxle would not give you more space up front, as well as better weight distribution to the rear? for a drag car that would not matter but for a car that also goes around corners or is driven longer distances the extra room up front may matter? Either way, it looks great so far.
Yeah man, life has changed a lot the past 12 months, personal life and working out of town have eaten all my spare time that I used to have to work on cars. On the plus side, it’s still right where I stopped working on it and it will be easy to pick up where I left off this winter. 👌🏻
Awesome to see a video of work being done without the 58,000 words that Rich typically speaks in a normal video. Just shut up and work, that's why we came here.
Every part and tool seen in this series has been bought and paid for out of pocket, and there is a lot more involved than the editing can show. It’s purely a project driven by passion and skill development.
Where i used to work a guy in the next unit had a beetle with a 351 4v cleveland nestled in it. Toploader and 9 inch...
It was fkn sweet.

Where's the next video haha I'm hooked
I was debating sleeping in a bit longer this morning, but when I saw this notification I was awake! Nice work!👍
I’ve been really looking forward to seeing an update on this! Please don’t leave it so long for part 3 😄
Wow what a craftsman!
Time is a precious commodity for sure! I always wonder how ppl find it?

Thats awesome man, I own one of each as well! Where could I see your cars at?
@@GrafsGarage3 I live in France...
Hook a couple kill switches to a couple coils to make it sound like crap until it's time to head up to the line to hit the loud pedal
This is so rad! Gonna be sick once it’s finished!

Been waiting for this one and I'm thrilled it's back!
Damn, would love to have that! True Craftsmen!
Thanks for sharing, awesome project. Like to pull up beside a Hellcat at a stoplight in that VW. 😊

Great musical choices for a wicked looking build.
I can't wait to see this badass Vdub rolling around the Niagara Region.👍
I LOVE this build and recently thought about it; I got worried it was forgotten. Thanks for the update and keep em’ coming!
Fantastic work
We need more of this build
I could watch this thing be built in real time it’s so bloody good 👌🏽
I love this build, my only criticism is that the video was too short!!
I've always wanted to get a Squareback and put a V8 in it. Great job.

Amazing work, well done!
Good build thank you for sharing this video 👍😊
Can't wait to see this run and drive

Thanks for the update! Was wondering how the VW was going.
Such a great build, I’m stoked to see it coming together

Very KOOL Coming long
Epic video and build

Woooooo!!!!!!!! Been waiting for this
Nice Tim Couch Browns jersey
Great work on the pipes and tins. Looked easy, but we know it isn't.
Nice work
That style of krauter was the only one that I liked and I don’t know why it’s just cool !

Oh my god that chassis! Pretty sure few vw owners would be willing to buy such

Any update on this bad boy? Has it now been completed?? Keen to see the end result
Ive always loved this model. Was it also called a "Dasher"?
I think the newer Passat’s were called dasher
What a beauty.

Holy smokes🔥😀
Wow, Hell of a sleeper, awesome project…but with that much work, imagine what a ‘63 to ‘67 corvette body would have looked like.😊
another Canadian named Fitzee's Fabrications is doing something similar with a 70's Toyota
We called them Hitler's Revenge in Australia because they were so unreliable here in the heat...well done though!
Canadian Cooper 😂
Are you guys still building this car?
Yeah man, life has changed a lot the past 12 months, personal life and working out of town have eaten all my spare time that I used to have to work on cars. On the plus side, it’s still right where I stopped working on it and it will be easy to pick up where I left off this winter. 👌🏻
Hmm this guy knows his shit .
😎👍
I love this car in my top ten cars can't wait to see your sleeper lol
👍👍👍😜🏴🦕🦄😁✌️🤞
Ofcourse subd. And passed your video about like a p#rn mag lol
Need to cut the dashboard out and make it come back more towards the driver looks too abstract to me.
What's the frame you used
As a guy with a sore back and knees, it hurts watching you doing everything on the floor, please build a work table
I used to watch deboss garage because Rick used to build stuff now he just shows other people's builds
Didn't enjoy the CAT, Bronco, tank, Kenworth or 55?
..or the track loader, the Lincoln welder, the lowboy... oh, right, that's DGHD...my bad..
Oouusscchh

difference between educational video and entertaining video....
Why?
Obviously RUclips and sponsors are paying off
Every part and tool seen in this series has been bought and paid for out of pocket, and there is a lot more involved than the editing can show. It’s purely a project driven by passion and skill development.
OK....this a CHANNEL by itself .....in the vein of Bad Motorsports !!!!
