My favourite part of the Lakes. We have a short trip booked in October so “bagging”, I’m not a bagger, Heron Pike and gonna see if I can get the Mrs to do the 2 Langdale Pikes the next day. Hopefully do a couple of vlogs at the same time.
Nice one dave 👍 always nice to see your videos back in Lakeland what a beautiful place to pitch a tent looking like your both having fun backpacking keep them coming 😀
A poncho is always a good idea if you don’t wanna take waterproofs - just in case - and you can get them that weigh literally nothing, and come folded to the size of a crisp packet 👍
This was lovely, thanks for sharing! Strange seeing you in a different tent! Looks nice. I'm used to you coming up here to Scotland but next weekend I'll be the one coming down to camp in Yorkshire! Hope your back and shoulder are doing better soon
Nice spot around there. Always a fav any blea tarn walk. Thanks for sharing. No waterproofs in the Lakes; really. Walking in the Lakes for 25 years and I always take a waterproof. Even on sunny days the wind can be biting and weighs little. Looks great for June, the last of the British summary time. 😂
I've often wondered where the name Wetherlam comes from, so I asked my tiny know-all device. A wether ( etymologically ancient Greek) is a male castrated sheep. It is said that the monks of Furness Abbey used to graze their sheep up there. Maybe someone can do better than me, but that's all I could find. As always a great video 🎉
Nice video Dave. Great views all the way up. Had started to forget what The Langdales looked like😂 Looked up 'Wetherlam' myself and could only find the same explanation as mentioned before about it possibly being named after castrated rams!! Was hoping perhaps for a slightly more mythical explanation😂
Another lovely location, great video as always. thanks Dave.👍👍
Cheers Biagio 🙏🏻
Very green out there at the moment.

Right in my favourite place in all the world Dave. Unusual to see you just a few metres above Blea!

I heard the same story/explanation about 10 year ago. 👍🏼 ✂🐑
Sat in bed with flu of all things so never got to go away myself so your trek will do nicely ❤
Get well soon!
