Honda activa user since 13 years. I agree with you, new models of honda activa 110, have ridiculously poor brakes and tyres, perhaps due to suspension as you said.
this was also mine reason to buy tvs jupiter and it been now 5 years having my jupiter running flawless.
I fully agree with you. I had 1st and 2nd generation activas. I had similar experiences. Along with that, another issue with Honda is their service staffs' attitude. Now I am planning to buy a scooter and because of these two reasons, I am not at all considering about Honda products.

Yes u got it right I am riding my Honda activa since 9years. And the suspension doesn't work properly when we brake also the suspension travel is very less than others. That's the why I don't like activa.

But my activa 4g seems very good. I'm riding it since 3 yrs. No problems and falls yet. Only thing bad about it is the suspension.
I agree, also the feeling is very strange when you brake and the front lifts up causing the already light front end to become even lighter transferring the weight to rear. And Activa brakes are horrible too! And to those ppl who think they are safe since they use only rear brakes, due to CBS front brake is also activated when using rear. All Honda has to do is fit the Activa 125's front suspension to fix this issue. But Honda is Honda, and they simply don't care if the product is selling

I agree with u bro... my dad went to the honda showroom to buy an activa... but my uncle called him and told him to go to tvs instead and he bought a wego... this was in 2012 and the wego is still flawless... tvs is da best

Using Jupiter for last 3 years, no issue, loved it.
I purchased my first Honda activa 110 in 2008 September, was raining at that time.. it was new bike & tyre polish was still there, braked and slipped, its tyre fault.. once the polish wore off I did not encounter any slipping incident !!! I have had very close encounters of emergency braking, but Scooter stopped decently and didn’t slip at all!! I owned it till 2018!!! I purchased Activa i for my wife in 2018, no braking lag found... booked new activa 125 BS6 this month..!!
*BRAKING IS A MATTER OF THE SETTING DONE AT SERVICE CENTRE, YOU CAN CHECK THE BRAKES AND INSTRUCT TO SET AS PER YOUR REQUIREMENT TO THE SERVICE ENGINEER.!!!
*WITH REGARDS TO TYRES, I GOT MRF IT WAS GOOD... TYRES ARE MATTER OF PERSONAL CHOICE..
There's one thing other than the brake that activa is not good ..that is IF it skids the accelerator keeps on going ..will make matters much worse
And reason you said is absolutely right I have very bad experience with front brake of activa I fall on center of the roads and thanks to god there is no vehicle behind me .....

Maine to combi brake disabled hi kar rakha hai.👍... 6g buy kar sakte ho cos honda engine is reliable ...cos brake down hon kisi bhi vehicle ke liye sahi nahi hai...

True bro, I'm watcing this video as I skid with Activa 125 on concrete road in light rains at a speed of 20kmph, not even pressed brake nor accelerated. Its just 1 month old Honda Activa. Please avoid Honda activa 110 or 125, zero safety. Also try avoiding riding any scooty in rainy season.

I don't think it's due to suspension, Activa comes with very poor tyres.. though they're MRF. (couldn't believe MRF made such poor tyres) that's the reason for poor breaking. It's better to replace the tyres as soon buying it. I bought a 125cc activa, and both my tyres are poor, back tyre tore off and I had to change the tyre. And the activa 125's front suspension is not anything better, I had to replace the suspension on warranty, as it became unusually stiff after first service..
Sorry but can't ignore Honda! Because my family business is in Honda 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers

Bekar suspension hai activa 110cc ke. Suspensions are just for name sake. Engine is good, smooth. Bit when it comes to suspensions, totally bekar

Activa ka engine 60 ki speed ke baad vibration karta hai agar aap 60 ya 40 pe chalayoge activa ko to apko smoothness milegi but suspension acha nhi hai activa ka. Front.

Bhai, India needs motovloggers like you, people who say the truth. Every point you said about Activa is true, I personally owned a Activa and met with two accident because of the poor breaking system and suspension. To this day I have a walking disability because of this. Post which I bought a tvs Apache rtr 160 4v. I truly believe that Indian brands provide more value to money than foreigne brands.

Guys to be fair ... Activa 110 is not a good scooter as per features engine is better than jupiter any day... But suspension and brakes aren't good..
Activa 125 is good in power and suspension personally owning one.
Where as slipping of wheels is concerned take any scooter in a slippery surface apply brakes u are going to fall off if ur at a certain speed. The only reason is wheel size and lack of abs. Check out other scooter in other countries the size of wheels are way big. Government bhai ... Congress toi soi hui thi... Abhi BJP jo kar rahi slow and steady kar rahi hai... But kuch na hone se hona acha nai... Bs6 combi brake abs welll appreciated!!!

Sorry bro but i tested both Activa and Jupiter , rather i ride these bikes very often , but Activa smoothness is best best and its power is also better than Jupiter , but braking and suspension is very bad in Activa , while Jupiter is very rough and slow in pickup but Jupiter handling and braking and seating is best

Gusto 110 is also a value for money package and a practical scooter but it's been underestimated by public just because of mahindra not performing well in 2 wheeler's segment.
Overall Gusto 110 is a good option.
