This was a bucket list item I was grateful to have gone to when I went in June. He's so cool and the vibe of the place is so lively and fun. And the food is fresh and incredible.
Hey… I’m half Japanese and my round eyed dad is a Viking.. you remind me of my younger daughter Myla. I now live in Oregon. I am enjoying your videos. Thanks a bunch. Arigato…
Great video! Just recently learned of your channel (and your "camera man" btw). This is akin to the privately owned diner on back country roads which serves only locals but produces fantastic food!
Excellent video and editing work. I'm looking forward to longer-format videos eventually. This was great, but felt too short. You're a great presenter, love your style! Did I see you in a collab with Tokyo Creative recently? I hope there will be more of that, too.
I love cilantro and Japanese food. My brother in law's mother was from Japan. I loved going to her home. Everything she made was beautiful and delicious. I live in Oregon as well. Kind regards. ❤
you'd never expect that behind those cheery smiles and lively attitudes lies a dark past.. which probably applies to some people in our lives, or ourselves
i actually thought you made a hyper realistic video - the flame actually got to your cheek making it look reddish ! 0:02 , the video - Sore wa jigoku no yō ni atsuidesu
you know why i love japanese cuisine. it's affordable, but still the best in the bloody world. when we here in germany have a japanese restaurant. you pay the 44 bucks for one bloody dish, just because they spent more money on the plates than on the food. and they sprinkle the sauce and decorate with gold and whatever like some fancy french restaurant. i don't want that. i don't want some kind of luxury stuff that looks better than it tastes, i want just good delicious japanese authentic food. you don't get that here in gemrany. because here restaurants itself is a luxury, you won't find a restaurant that has affordable prices that allow you to eat there everyday, so they need to justify that with putting... an expressionistic painting on your plate.
been to his shop. food is average maybe slightly better to those 100yen sushi place but price is at least 3x. Blowtorch tuna is meh, sashimi was better.
You look Filipino Asian like 100%. On a scale of being mixed white, you still look 95% Asian. Your hair just has light color but your physique is definitely Asian. Filipino Asian bone structure.
@@crBudgetWatchesThat fully explains why she's not hot she looks very average even though she is mixed. Because she is Not Filipino. Filipinos are super hot and magnetic when they are mixed with another ethnicity. Most Filipino actors and actresses look better than Japanese actors and Filipinos don't use surgery.

Hearing his story almost made me tear up… 🥹 thanks for sharing this with us Patricia!
so touching when you had a photo with him at the end, ;) amazing video as always and a pleasure to watch!
Pretty cool. Pato and Shun-chan! This guy is iconic like the omurice maker in Kyoto and the mochi pounder in Nara.
...or the beer-drinking restaurant owner in Osaka who told Pato she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
What an awesome guy. I'm glad gus life is much better now! He seems so happy in what he does.
Most definitely visit this Izakaya when in Osaka. Thanks for this video.

His food is really good!!! Ate there a month ago.
This girl really made it. From the stupid shorts she actually got into the really video recommendations
You would definitely enjoy Tojo’s in Vancouver 🇨🇦 the inventor of the inside-out California roll. Similar sort of crazy chef with a big heart!
いつも美味しそうに食べて羨ましい!

What day of the week and time did you go? I'm surprise to see no line up? Last time I went, I waited an hour. Thank you
I'm going in OCT, hope the wait isn't too bad.
I heard the lines are over an hour long now but I guess it depends on time/ day! Hope you get to go :)
Good on him for putting his past behind him.
He was really sweet 🥰
Loved the video.
Thank you!

Were you just there? Why are folks wearing jackets when it's crazy hot in Osaka right now.
Damn pricey. Heard that food is overrated
You have such an Irish Name lol
