"Our next console will be a huge improvement over PC Engine CD! It will be able to display uncompressed full motion video!" "Will it also be able to scale sprites?" "No"
@@ozonesama No there isn't, look closely. The character switches between larger/smaller sprites depending on distance from the camera. It isn't smooth. Mario Kart & F-Zero on SNES do the same thing, as do all the ports of superscaler games to the Genesis
4:22 I’m not old enough to remember (i was 4 at the time) but this menu music sounds like Kenji Kawai’s style! I love 1980 and 1990s Anime from my husband’s time! And one of the girls looks like shes from Orguss
Hudson/NEC bet on the wrong standard going forward at that time. The video looks better on the PCFX but both the Saturn and PSX had similar and better games in the same genres along with powerhouse 2D and 3D games.
A big thank you to all that worked on translating this into English! Hopefully this means more PC-FX get translated in the future.
Enjoy!
Our pleasure!
Game looks great! A true old-good sci-fi of the 90's. So nostalgic...

There is some sprite scaling, though. 🤔

Hmm only if I could watch all cutscenes consecutively. Thank you for a quality translation.
Neat!
A gameplay somewhat reminiscent of the first "Alone in the Dark" games too.
Oh damn I see all the budget went on the intro cutscene.
Alternative powerpuff girls origin story.

There's a reason it sounds like Kenji Kawai. 😆
11:30 - 12:01 the game really doesnt hold your hand 😆
this game looks like it could be as frustrating as Lifeline(voice activated PS2 game)
Interesting video i just got recommended. Never heard of this game until now and it's so very 1990s anime.
trippy is it hard to set this up on retro arch?
Never played a PC-FX game before but I’m going to guess the system was not good at 3d graphics?
It was way too weak compared to the competition at that time.

@ they totally miscalculated the market. It should stand as a school book example of how not to do stuff.
No enemy ?
