Not knocking Kyrie in anyway because his misses are just impressive as his makes, but did anyone notice when he kept things simple(Shooting the open shot, taking what the defense gave him, etc) he scored, but when he tried to be fancy(Crossovers, flashy, etc..) he didn't score
Did you know derrick has the best ball handling skills in the nba? Did you know Derrick was injured and really had to play a perimeter game witch isn't his bread and butter. So clearly if your the best ball handler and play an a elite level of perimeter offense you're skill set is more than impressive.
i also agree that if russell westbrook can develope and reliably consistant jumper and incorporate it into a game thats more of a point guard style his potential is off the charts. I also think russ has a higher ceiling at shooting guard but that would raise the question of where do they put james harden
cause I'm pretty sure that he was going to get one this year or at least make it to finals even over David sterns favourite team the heat. He will always be a contender for championship. If the cavs don't built a team around kyrie soon, either when he is young or around his prime he is not getting a championship.
Nice sportsmanship... after he chased down that guy he decided to stop and help him up. Most guys who get a chasedown just go crazy and dont pay attention to the game. Maturity right there.
Kyrie's speed is actually pretty underrated. I actually think only Wall and Westbrook are definitely faster, but even that to me is sort of up in the air. He looks absolutely superhuman in this video, and that's not even just in comparison to other guys. Just unreal speed, agility, acceleration and balance.
Yup. That's just insane speed and body control. Probably the only player in the league that can make moves like that nearly as quickly as he can, and his speed there is unreal
From what i have seen Kyrie has skill and he likes to show off his moves instead of sticking to the play, but he is still young and his playing style will soon mature.
His athleticism is like Chris Paul, CP3 may not dunk in games but go watch some of those summer games during the lockout CP3 was catching oops, dunking with two hands etc.... their quickness and open court speed is about the same as well, Irving is just taller so of course he can dunk easier.
only thing westbrook has on kyrie is supreme athleticism with a below average shot an below average court vision especially for a PG. Kyrie wins that easily
I feel like ... people don't understand how fast Kyrie is lol. Like he's moving like prime Devin Hester in this clips, it looks like he's a totally different level of athlete from everyone here, while still being relatively big.
definetly for me the most SKILLED in terms off ball handling, he can shoot literally from anywhere can go 8/8 from 3 when he wants can really pass and is a BORN scorer however there other intangibles he aint got that cp3 & rondo tp has he aint the best yet but hes gonna be the best PG very soon
right.. people dont know about kyrie.. all they know is his highlight videos. they dont know how he approaches every game with a chip on his shoulder and how he loves the challenge of matching up against the best PGs in the league and goes out there and plays even harder. they dont know how he turns it all the way up in the 4th qtrs of EVERY game.. they dont know so i dont expect them to say hes amongst the best in the game cuz they jus simply DONT KNOW!!
I was wondering why he wouldn't pass the ball.. his team was down like the whole game he had to stay aggressive but there were times he still could've dished it off
lol kyrie is nowhere as physical as D. Rose, rose def takes it to the rack stronger, kyrie takes it to the rack smoother though and seems a lot more effortless since he has such a good handle
Bro D.Rose,CP3,Westbrook,D-Will could have lead the Cavs to the playoffs, it's alot Kyrie needs to learn man, everyone knows Kyrie can play and is very special, but you already think he's on a level that he's not, he will one day no doubt be one of the top PG's in the NBA, but right now....he's not.
Kyrie=clutch... Westbrook=Shoots like 8/24 a game...Kyrie=good court vision... Westbrook= passes like 6 time per game..Kyrie= crazy crossover . RW=shoots bricks
i understand u have a different opinion about if and thats cool but i justlike kyries potential hes a gifted passer and scorer and he runs clevelands offense perfectly especiaply given the lack of talent we had last year and what he was able to accomplish with that. i find it scary to think of the great things that could happen if we got a 2nd rising star in place with kyrie especially if hes a shooter cuz kyrie will find him. im not too sure of dion waiters at this point but i remain optimistic
Thats the difference between the kyrie and russ. Russ is always looking to make something happen which is good but sometimes he forces it too much and its those occasions i worry he could have a serious injury. Where as kyrie is rarely ever sped up just by defensive pressure. If something is there he will take it. If nothings there he will back it out and set a play whether its an isolation play or looking for open shooters or attacking the basket with his finger roll that hes almost perfected
I love Rose but he's out so let's forget about what he would do and see what happens when the two come together head to head because they are both my 2 favorite pgs in the league
no sir not basketball. russell westbrook on his best day is steve francis in his prime he scores based on his athleticism and sure he'll hit some jumpers when he gets going but as far as an understanding of basketball and potential and actual PG talent/leadership ill take kyrie over westbrook any time
Time will tell who is clearly the best PG in the Game and you will see and wont be so oblivious to the fact. My advice, watch the Games, not ESPN HighLights dude.
Kyrie is Kyrie, not CP3, i hate all of the comparisons. He's a great scoring pg who can shoot with handles, not a great passer. They don't play that much alike, they aren't even the same size.
it's not like Derrick Rose turned the franchise around. ROY , 3x all star, and all most took the inmature bulls to the finals. there 30-7 with rose and 18-9 without. they are only a sub-pare team without rose. Kyrie showed extreme flashes of brilliance but he still has room to develope
its also a basic point that kyrie was the most clutch player in the LEAGUE last year.. not of the rookies.. IN THE LEAGUE.. on top of that, hit 2 game winners, AND the last 2 buckets of the game to put the cavs on top of the mavs, the defending champs (at the time).. 2 takes to the hole, 2 finishes, put the cavs up 3, under 20 seconds to go in the game... if it wasnt for kyrie, the cavs wouldnt have even won 15 games last year. they would have been right there with the bobcats.
What does head to head mean? If that was the case Rondo would be rated over CP3 by everyone because Rondo always wins their matchups. So you think Kyrie is the best PG in the NBA? Where do you rank him?
5 years from now...Kyrie irving will be the best PG in the league and top 5 player
Wrong but he is top 3 Pgs rn and a top 10 player
@@Sogatobi top 2 pg and top 5 player
@@Sogatobi but I respect your opinion :)
Dude is beyond skilled..He can get out of control, but he is only 21?!!? He one of the nicest. Period.
the crowd was amazing!!!
Agreed@flashgordon kyrie despite his lack of dazzling athleticism is a very explosive player yet he remains under control at all times
Best Handles and Finisher in history
Top 5 for sure 💯
Not knocking Kyrie in anyway because his misses are just impressive as his makes, but did anyone notice when he kept things simple(Shooting the open shot, taking what the defense gave him, etc) he scored, but when he tried to be fancy(Crossovers, flashy, etc..) he didn't score
Deron WIlliams, your spot on the All-Star team has been filled.
Did you know derrick has the best ball handling skills in the nba? Did you know Derrick was injured and really had to play a perimeter game witch isn't his bread and butter. So clearly if your the best ball handler and play an a elite level of perimeter offense you're skill set is more than impressive.
Kyrie has slowed his game down and takes his time to get to his spots. He also trust his team now .
Kyrie always been a tough bucket getter
i also agree that if russell westbrook can develope and reliably consistant jumper and incorporate it into a game thats more of a point guard style his potential is off the charts. I also think russ has a higher ceiling at shooting guard but that would raise the question of where do they put james harden
best announcer ever
im with u heart im in cleveland to, kyrie is a beast! especially in the 4th quarter when we need him!
I think they were focusing on the crossovers before the misses.
Kyrie showed hella good sportsmanship, blocked someone than helped him out.
cause I'm pretty sure that he was going to get one this year or at least make it to finals even over David sterns favourite team the heat. He will always be a contender for championship. If the cavs don't built a team around kyrie soon, either when he is young or around his prime he is not getting a championship.
jesus...even his misses are entertaining.
I love kyrie don't get me wrong but dude your a point guard, get your teammates involved and maybe your team would win
Man kyrie is like sonic on the court.
Nice sportsmanship... after he chased down that guy he decided to stop and help him up. Most guys who get a chasedown just go crazy and dont pay attention to the game. Maturity right there.
ppl underestimate D Rose a lot of times. They forget his MVP year. He's about to have another one this year.
james harden has a point guard type game. his passing ability is so amazing and he plays well off the pick and roll
Bro, now he’s balling with assist in Brooklyn
At 1:56 he got up court in 4 seconds
Fast, but there's guards thats faster and thats scary
+Killinthecoliontheworkoutip yea,for example Westbrook
Ethanzm _ Bledsoe,Wall,Westbrook,etc
Kyrie's speed is actually pretty underrated. I actually think only Wall and Westbrook are definitely faster, but even that to me is sort of up in the air. He looks absolutely superhuman in this video, and that's not even just in comparison to other guys. Just unreal speed, agility, acceleration and balance.

1:27 Damn that Spin was so fast it ripped my Pants
+Joey Barranco it's a top summer league in NYC that brings out a lot of NBA, College, Overseas and local talent.
i said hes going to be. its only a matter of time. he just has to keep putting in work. you go see. this next season hes going to rise above the rest.
His athleticism is like Chris Paul, CP3 may not dunk in games but go watch some of those summer games during the lockout CP3 was catching oops, dunking with two hands etc.... their quickness and open court speed is about the same as well, Irving is just taller so of course he can dunk easier.
A force to be reckoned with in the 4th..
Considering Kyrie made all his free throws, he had 45 points, 1 assist, 1 block, 2 steals and 1 rebounds.
only thing westbrook has on kyrie is supreme athleticism with a below average shot an below average court vision especially for a PG. Kyrie wins that easily
@flashgordon i think its because hes trying to be flashy in this game were as he seems much more natural and focused in an nba setting flashy or not
3:24 that was nasty 🔥🔥
kinda annoyed with the commentator "kyrie, kyrie irving, kryrie, irving, irving, kyrieee"
I feel like ... people don't understand how fast Kyrie is lol. Like he's moving like prime Devin Hester in this clips, it looks like he's a totally different level of athlete from everyone here, while still being relatively big.
yes, Extremely fast while having ball control. that's why he gets paid the big bucks.
definetly for me the most SKILLED in terms off ball handling, he can shoot literally from anywhere can go 8/8 from 3 when he wants can really pass and is a BORN scorer however there other intangibles he aint got that cp3 & rondo tp has he aint the best yet but hes gonna be the best PG very soon
His handles are Kyridiculous
be honest,u didn't searched the video, youtube recommended this to u.
@ 1:58 Wow he's so quick!
go uncle drew, show the young bloods the old-school-moves
So your meaning to tell me, you think heading into the 2013-14 NBA season everyone will have Kyrie Irving as the TOP PG in the NBA?
thats not even fair...... love that kid, future superstar.
lol..at some point in the game, he made a conscious decision to start playing 1 on 5.
WHY HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS
Bc it haven't seen you. Now you have both met. 🤝
damn mad handles
right.. people dont know about kyrie.. all they know is his highlight videos. they dont know how he approaches every game with a chip on his shoulder and how he loves the challenge of matching up against the best PGs in the league and goes out there and plays even harder. they dont know how he turns it all the way up in the 4th qtrs of EVERY game.. they dont know so i dont expect them to say hes amongst the best in the game cuz they jus simply DONT KNOW!!
His comment was from 2 months ago, before the trade...
man he's skilled
I was wondering why he wouldn't pass the ball.. his team was down like the whole game he had to stay aggressive but there were times he still could've dished it off
DAT SPIN DOE
Kyrie: "Pass? What is it ???"
I can't believe this was in Baruch college o.O
It's been ten years...
Don't remind me! HAHA
1:26, He spins so fucking fast!!!
The crowd is so quite lol
he needs some ballhog gloves dude is straight ballhog
Original jelly
Its all beauty, but can he pass the ball? :O
Future ref.: 3:05 setup, punchline.
that commentater probably said kyrie irving like 1000 times for the whole game span
lol kyrie is nowhere as physical as D. Rose, rose def takes it to the rack stronger, kyrie takes it to the rack smoother though and seems a lot more effortless since he has such a good handle
I wanna see irving and rose head to head
Bro D.Rose,CP3,Westbrook,D-Will could have lead the Cavs to the playoffs, it's alot Kyrie needs to learn man, everyone knows Kyrie can play and is very special, but you already think he's on a level that he's not, he will one day no doubt be one of the top PG's in the NBA, but right now....he's not.
Why thank you.
In the 2nd half of the vid they were jus showin that he not perfect. They showed all da good plays in da 1st & bad n da 2nd. It was a mix
1:55 -2:12-- ---0:56-- ---2:39-- ---3:13--d rupset- lupset 1:26 -1:37 -2:29d -2:34 -2:48 -2:56
that commentator said the same thing every single time he had the ball
KYRIE was at BARUCH COLLEGE!!!!!
Kyrie=clutch... Westbrook=Shoots like 8/24 a game...Kyrie=good court vision... Westbrook= passes like 6 time per game..Kyrie= crazy crossover . RW=shoots bricks
crazy how 10 years later this is still accurate
i understand u have a different opinion about if and thats cool but i justlike kyries potential hes a gifted passer and scorer and he runs clevelands offense perfectly especiaply given the lack of talent we had last year and what he was able to accomplish with that. i find it scary to think of the great things that could happen if we got a 2nd rising star in place with kyrie especially if hes a shooter cuz kyrie will find him. im not too sure of dion waiters at this point but i remain optimistic
He's a one man fast break!!! His game is so nasty
He already had 50 points by the second half of the video. He didn't have to score anymore. lol
Still Someone watch kryie on 2019
That announcer dude was messin him up towards the end. Smh every time he touches the ball all you hear is "KYRIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!"
Thats the difference between the kyrie and russ. Russ is always looking to make something happen which is good but sometimes he forces it too much and its those occasions i worry he could have a serious injury. Where as kyrie is rarely ever sped up just by defensive pressure. If something is there he will take it. If nothings there he will back it out and set a play whether its an isolation play or looking for open shooters or attacking the basket with his finger roll that hes almost perfected
no im not and people who dont say that dont know much about kyrie but highlight videos.
I love Rose but he's out so let's forget about what he would do and see what happens when the two come together head to head because they are both my 2 favorite pgs in the league
no sir not basketball. russell westbrook on his best day is steve francis in his prime he scores based on his athleticism and sure he'll hit some jumpers when he gets going but as far as an understanding of basketball and potential and actual PG talent/leadership ill take kyrie over westbrook any time
kyrie irving....
kyrie irving...
kyrieeee!!
kyrie irving rookie of the year
kyrie irviing!!
he plays like kobe
He said forget passing the ball lol.
@TheHeart216 is really the youtube page for Skip Bayless
Time will tell who is clearly the best PG in the Game and you will see and wont be so oblivious to the fact. My advice, watch the Games, not ESPN HighLights dude.
the crowd is so quiet
I look at the comments and all I see are disses on derrick rose. MVP, team can't beat the 76ers without him. I'm pretty sure he is elite
Kyrie is Kyrie, not CP3, i hate all of the comparisons. He's a great scoring pg who can shoot with handles, not a great passer. They don't play that much alike, they aren't even the same size.
Kyrie is a man. best PG in the game. better than CP3, rose, westbrook, rondo, etc.
it's not like Derrick Rose turned the franchise around. ROY , 3x all star, and all most took the inmature bulls to the finals. there 30-7 with rose and 18-9 without. they are only a sub-pare team without rose. Kyrie showed extreme flashes of brilliance but he still has room to develope
In my eyes HE IS THE SMOOTHEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE
That steal was nasty
its also a basic point that kyrie was the most clutch player in the LEAGUE last year.. not of the rookies..
The NBA finals were on that night so nobody showed up.
what is Nike Pro City? like a off season league or charity event orrrr?
Its a pro-am league out of NYC sponsored by Nike over that takes place over the summer
Please tell me your not talking about kyrie uncle drew irving!!?
I love watching him take awful shots when there's a guy open under the basket...
Best handles in the NBA hands down
In a few years maybe, but not right now.
What does head to head mean? If that was the case Rondo would be rated over CP3 by everyone because Rondo always wins their matchups.
So you think Kyrie is the best PG in the NBA? Where do you rank him?
No your the only person that feels that way.
hmm i wonder who's spin move is faster: drose or irvings
