How come Bauer went away from the kryptonium chassis and didn't even use the older magnesium chassis?
This compares to the current 2X rather than the 2X pro.
Hopefully they release the hyperlite so I won’t have to convert an ice pair.

Spot on. Bauer continuing to remove features from their high end skates and hope no one notices.
From what I understand this is the second top model, with Hyoerlites yet to come. However at this price point I'd at least be expecting the 6000 series chassis, not the cheap one given here.
@@JDAMC yeah they don't even give us the "magnesium" chassis like the old apxr and Xr Premiers had.
Maybe they needed to keep the kryptonium chassis for the hyperlites to be lightweight enough for the name. That's if they do a roller version

Silly question, w/ stock chassis hole layout, is Kryptonium similar as in direct mount w/ no extra drilling?
That's a great question!! They do have the same hole pattern so you can easily switch and upgrade to the Kyrptonium chassis. You'll just want to make sure that you get the right chassis size. We have all the sizing information for the Kryptonium Chassis on our website!

Judging by the comments here and the current Bauer catalog, there will be no flagship top of the line Bauer Vapor roller hockey skate that matches their ice counterpart. This is truly sad to see such a marquee skate be extinguished from a long line of the highest caliber inline skates in history. Bauer has taken a huge step back from inline roller hockey they basically cheapened the sport worst part inline hockey warehouse does a massive disservice to top roller players by kowtowing this downgrade in skate without letting their customers know what a huge step back Bauer took by omitting their top skate and it’s advanced features from the line up. At least mention that the 3x pro isn’t even close to the 2x Vapor Pro of last year’s model...pathetic

That is a pressed aluminium one piece.chsssis, the same that was found on the lower mid level models from years gone by.
