I like the Jazzy Air 2 because it allows the user to adapt to the environment instead of the environment having to adapt to the user. This means more variety of accommodation and disabled people are not limited so much to homes that are only adapted to a disabled user. The stand up chair for some disabled people would be far better, but considering their price tag, out of the price range of most disabled people. When you are looking at a price tag equivalent to that of a car, it's a major investment.
I'm curious about the footplate. I have MS and lifting my leg/foot on to the footplate to get seated is out of the question. Is the foot plate removable!? Does it fold?
I need to have the pricing on the lower priced chairs. I had a Golden Light Rider and it broke. While it is still under warranty I am not living in Florida anymore. Not one dealer in NYC is willing to fix it. This warranty bull is insulting so instead of it being free to fix the dealers want almost $ 1,000.00 to repair it! So I am going to replace the chair with something more durable that is good for riding on NYC uneven concrete sidewalks and ramps. Something that won't break the bank.
Paved, city sidewalks are almost always uncomfortably bumpy in whatever city. For that reason, I never use my scooter/wheelchair for transportation unless I have no other choice.
Do your homework, these are expensive investments that might not be covered under any insurance. As a long time user of heavy duty power wheelchairs, it is VERY important to note the difference between a “mobility device” and a power wheelchair. Moreover, NO wheelchair should and can go up or down a grade that is more than 8% grade- too much of a chance of flipping and no traction(in or out of rain). Ultimately, why are you getting the chair and what things do you need it to do?? When in doubt, kick a lot of tires, ask many questions of people who use power chairs as a must! I am in the process of getting a new chair- I’m asking my friends what they like/don’t and what they do different. It is like buying a car, and as expensive too! It IS your car- you sure you want a Toyota Camery, or would a Ford v8 Duelly serve you better??!
It's sad that most people and their caregivers do not know that in many cases they quality for power wheelchairs and far better ones then the chairs listed here. Contact any complex rehab technology company in your area and they will assist you with seeing if you qualify.
Why, out of nowhere did he start yelling? This was around the 2:20 mark and then periodically after that. Can't tell if it was for salesmanship or the fact that he chose not to pause between sentences or maybe because he also chose not to breathe. Very irritating, none the less, thanks for the info but now, I need an aspirin for this headache. Smh.

None of these chairs would work well for you, in the US with your diagnosis you would qualify for what is called a group3 power chair which allows for a seating system that will accommodate you.
