    I feel Mike completely with the DD-3. I bought an early one, I think it was made the same year I was born. The tech at a Guitar Center sold his and I, not really knowing what it was, bought it the same day. It's early 80s, apparently with "the big" chip, and it's sounds SCARY good! I have it on a board that's directly for a purpose and often find myself using another "aux" board that has a different delay. The different delay sounds good, it's cool... though when I get to play the big board I'm always pleasantly suprised at how wonderful the DD-3 sounds. Warm repeats and not one bit of mud - if anything it's clear though very musical. So I'm glad he was able to get his back.

    Hi, I'm a semi-professionell. I don't play solo, but I can play all kind of chords and grooves. I'm interested in subtile overdrive with acoustiv sounding archtops. I' am a stand-up comedian who loves music and goes into the mixing desk in small theatres. And I try to warm up the sound for me (the audieece does not care, but they can feel if I have" fun")
    So as far as I can hear on "Sincerity Teaser" (and other videos) you use the Klon as light "saturation"? Your archtop seems to be acoustic sounding, but the wonderfull Fender tube amp on "Sincerity Teasermakes" - and you play very tastefull and never too loud - makes it diffcult to hear for me what your pedalboard actually does... so maybe you do a demonstration?

    For the clean tone that Mike Moreno usually has, it was surprising to hear that he uses 3 overdrives in a row. They must be dialed off, pretty much.

      @@billrowse2266 @cfibanez and next he says "I would say the Centaur is always on for my sound", I wonder if he means literally ALWAYS even in his clean tones... some players use overdrives to boost the signal... could that be the case?

    • @unoaotroa
      @unoaotroa 3 года назад +2

      @@pablocubicomusic I have a fairly similar rig and I can say that chaining overdrives serially has a similar effect to using a compressor. Each pedal in the series adds harmonic content to the signal. In other words, you can use a chain of overdrives with careful and thoughtful gain staging to reduce your signal headroom and have the details of your playing standout while retaining a full-bodied sound.
      It goes without saying that these kind of techniques work better in conjunction to using the controls provided on your instrument.
