Very interesting indeed, using Windex for cleaning residue is very useful too. One use for Windex I bet just about no-one knows. Use it as an insecticide. Here in Australia, we have the odd one or two pretty nasty bugs, with venomous spiders high on the list, Funnel Web, Redback (or Blackwidow) and a few more. I had to get rid of a spider in my house, (not nice to have with toddlers around), but I had no 'bug spray', so I got the Windex, turned the nozzle to 'jet', pressed the trigger, and within ten seconds, the spider had joined its ancestors, no staining on the surface it was on. I cannot explain why it is so effective, but, use only genuine Windex, cheaper copies have no effect at all. Also good for most other crawlies within the house and outside, wasps go the same way as spiders, BUT, use it against them from as far away as possible, as when wasps are attacked, they exude a pheromone (chemical) which warns other wasps of danger, and they come running, so be careful!..
Hello Sir Thank you for the update on protecting clear parts with future floor wax. I was wondering if I could pore some of this product in a cup or a tub with a lid that's big enough to dip the clear parts with the tree still on and then hang it on a clip to dry? Thank you for your time Sincerely Allan
it is nice tips is their any way to do it shine faster then doing it one by one piece at a time maybe a bowl and just dump it in it liquid and take it out !!?!.
That's actually what some modelers do, dump it in and take out and let the excess drips off. He probably want to conserve the liquid in the video here.
Is it ok to mask over the top of this when dry?. For example if i want to mask some of the clear and then leave some exposed lines for the canopy frame to be airbrushed in. I am using Tamiya masking tape. Will it distort the clear once removed?
thetobin8or that’s how I do it (been using the same Vat of Pledge for years...(however I’m going to try it this way to see if I like it better...)👍👍 ☯️ZenModeling☯️
So its supposed to run off like water. I just got some Pledge, now its made by Jhonston, so im guessing they use the same formula for buisness purposes its the formula they sell with their name on it same stuff diffrent country, anyway I got 3 types of pledge For tile and plastic floors, new formula for wood extra. the normal for wood. The last one is the colour of tea, the first two looks like diluted wood glue. Any advice do you have the same 3 or more in the US or is it just one cause everybody just says future, or pledge. Help anyone feel free to answer pls.
yep , fill a container with it too , dip whole front of brush into it , and blow and pull. slip back the needle and push back in gets any blowback out also. the run a few drips trough the pot.

Perhaps the ammonia in the Windex.
NIce. Just as a recommendation though, try a brushing or dipping the canopy. This way you won't waste any.
Yes, I done that, no waist here as I recycled the future back into its bottle after I was finished.

Can you spray Future on windshields with an airbrush and get the same results instead of dipping them?

Yes you can, this will allow you to make a mistake over the future coat, and remove the Future with window cleaner and retry.

My bottle has clear liquid.
Much easier to just fully immerse in the fluid and let drain dry for 4 hours.

did he dry them vertically or horizontally?
It depends on what is being cleared, you want to prevent puddles.
Can u do layers of this stuff
Yes you can.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what the purpose of this? As I just spent 90 bucks for window replacements on my Pocher F40.
Thanks for watching, I explain why in the video.
Why not just dip the damn part in a container? Thin the container with whatever and be done with it gezz.
Thats what I was doing, it really doesn't matter how you do it.
👍🏼
Thanks for watching.
Another modeler uses it on the whole model
I've seen that, thanks for watching.
you can Airbrush this stuff on, and the bottle will last you 100 years
+NapFloridian is it easy to clean out from the airbrush?
yes, I use Alcohol and Windex (mix 40/60)
yep , fill a container with it too , dip whole front of brush into it , and blow and pull. slip back the needle and push back in gets any blowback out also. the run a few drips trough the pot.
Or u can just pour it back in the bottle after using it..lol
@@Shreds87 no response...lol
Why not just dip it into a bowl of plege
That works too. Thanks for watching.
Good tip, except this video could have been 30 seconds long and given the same amount of information
He demonstrated the technique, which takes longer than 30 seconds.
+Don Kargo I concur
