This is my safari tabs after watching this amazing lesson: | Play-along Loops - LOIUE PALMER | Used Zildjian K Custom Dry Ride | RUclipsMusic playing The Grudge by Tool. Your videos have helped me a lot on drums, but today it was more than that. It gave me strength to get over the not-so-good morning I was having, because your willing to share your musical achievements have taken my mind to music paths I love to take. Thank you!
I love your feel, and your chops are excellent!
Wow! Spicy man, Ghost notes are killing it, thanks Steve amazing playing as usual . Every time I watch you play on the live stream, I come away with more homework!
MORE? Hell yes, here for it Steve!
That warm-up exercises exactly what I like to practice . Playing everything with a triplet feel. I try to see how much stuff I can play with a triplet feel and still make it work.
Good response to Raymonds comment about not practicing. Maybe we could do a very small percentage of this if we practiced more. When I looked up flow and fluency on the drums in the dictionary, there was a picture of Steve Holmes!
40 minute mark on but even before that was really and still digging all your ideas . Only wish I could play as well . Haha
Sometimes what I do is, one paradiddle-diddle into a single stoke roll. I don’t know if I’m explaining it correctly. Like go RLRR LRLL-roll starting with your right hand. Then come out of the roll into LRLL RLRR-roll starting with your left hand. You can also also do a half paradiddle-diddle into a roll. I can’t remember how long the roll is. Told you I can’t explain things very well. ..lol😂
やっぱりかっこいい👍👍👍
Hi guys.
steve , whats your opinion as i value it very much. mounted toms on bass drum vs not ? I am looking at a PHX kit in my future and was wondering . virgin kick means place the toms any place i want . mounted toms limiting ? or no ? thanks for what you do . I love watching your videos .
Mounting the toms on the BD can result in some unwanted ringing when hitting the BD so if that's a concern then you may want to mount them on stands/hex-rack. If I was getting a new kick I would not have the toms on the BD - but if you're not mic'd up ever then it's fine.
Obviously it's a personal taste thing.
@@SteveHolmesDrums Thanks Steve. He ordered the bass with the mount . So I have an option either way . I grew up with the mount and I am fine with it either way . Now to sell some stuff to fund the kit when it comes in . I got a good deal on it . To bad they don't have the same exotic ash finishes .
Hi, 5B vators?
Yeah. Love ‘em.
