Midwestern phtography The company my dad works for was involved in the construction the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge over the river. I got to fly up there with a bunch of supervisors in a chartered propellor plane (up front with the pilot--very cool) and see the bridge while it was under construction. They had one of these elevators set up at another construction site near downtown where we stopped. Unfortunately, it was too long ago and I don't remember exactly where it was.
My sister and my auntie works one of those. My sister is really pushing me into going to go get my hoist ticket. But I’m awfully afraid of heights 😓. Thanks for your video 👍

How funny, I set this elevator up a few years back. And I find myself back in Richmond setting up as a twin, just around the corner from the original place it started at. This hoist is turned down because its 19 stories, but this hoist can be set up at 300'/min...way too fast for 19 stories. Nice video!!!
I used to operate one of these when I was in my early twenties. Not exactly the same model but it was manufactured/serviced by Tallcrane. It was fun as hell! I would DEFINITELY recommend it for college students (or anyone in general) who are not particularly eager to have summer jobs where they have to be nice to fucking customers who don't give two shits about you. Fuck retail XD!

Is the speed turned down for safety reasons? Or to make it easier to stop and level at the correct floor? (I am not an expect at construction hoists).
Yes this type of elevator is always slow for safety reasons.

How do you remove them once construction is over and the cranes are gone?
normaly moblie crane or there is a little jib that mounts to the roof of the hoist and you pull it down piece by piece
